Dear Members,

I had given a posting on Lemons and it efficacy including the

connection with Amba.

I had given that on fridays and rahu kala some people light a lamp

before durga with an inverted lemon rind with ghee.

Swami Of Nanganallur says that such practice has no validity. That

Vishnu Durga asthami puja will remove doshas if done properly but

this thing was not practiced by our elders nor is it there in

shastras(for those who stick to shastras) and some people tried it

last century for a change and claim to get results.

Lemon mala can however be put for amba and some special pujas can be

done with lemon (including some taantrka parikriyas)

I just wanted to inform members of swami's view.

Such a lighting of lamp is not allowed in the durga sannidhi in the

temple and a simple lamp is lit with flowers.

Yours yogically,

Shreeram
