Guest guest Posted August 12, 2005 Report Share Posted August 12, 2005 Dear Panimalar venayagan avargale, The name is 'varalakshmi' vrata puja and it falls on 19th of this month and not on 12th as many mistakenly are thinking. The confusion occurs because pournami and friday coincide and hence the friday before pournami is taken as the date of varilaskhmi vratha. Those who have done on 12th need not panic but just keep the varalakshmi devi rupa in the rice till 19th and do a punarpuja and ask for forgiveness from devi for wrongly perfoming it.
