Guest guest
Dear Members, I decided to post whatever true stories I hear about the Devi and the temple in this forum. This is story happened recently. It was a Pournami(full moon). The crowds were dwindling as the night approached.Suddenly there appeared five white men in the temple. They got down from a Call-taxi. One among them was huge and gigantic and wore a big kurta and nothing else below. The rest were his disciples wearing pyjama jhubbas. He came with his flutter of disciples in a big pompous way. But the disciples seemed to be very humble and truly interested in Gurubhakthi. It was a sight to marvel at. They obsequiosly removed his shoes placing his feet on their knees and carefully removing his socks and shoes, all the while gently chanting his name as " Gurudeva " . Then this great " gurudeva " entered the temple with his fawning disciples. Now, it is the custom of the temple for the males to remove their upper garments while entering the temple both as a way of showing respect to the Goddess and also for imbibing the essence of the 43 yantras embedded at various places. When this was politely pointed out to the " Gurudeva " . He retorted back, " Blokess! Mind your business. " The woman who pointed it out was my friend. She is an old woman and stays in the temple. She said " Ok, atleast take the permission of Rajagopala Swami before you enter like this " For this the fuming White Guru replied " I dont care for darkskinned Gurus of India. They are cheats and frauds. They cannot speak even proper Enlgish leave alone Queen's English. Iam a srividya Guru myself and I have come to see Goddess Rajarajeshwari myself in all Her full glory. Do not bother me with your pussilanimous pinpricks. " The lady then sighed and turned to his disciples who looked sober and humble and requested one of them to go and get a written letter from swami. One of them in all readiness went embarrassed by his ''gurudeva's " behaviour.(They however removed their jhubbas). They also said in defence " If Gurudeva removes his jhubba he will be left with nothing underneath except a two piece cloth " . The lady replied back " I know your predicament. Iam just asking you to get a written letter from swami which he will gladly give seeing your great gurudeva and then there wont be any problem when you have your darshan up by way of the priest(or other people) there scolding you or raising his eyebrows for this biased treatment to a white man " The disciple ran and prostrated before Swami Rajagopala who acted as if he knew nothing and when told about the matter. He said nonchalantly " ok " and gave a letter handwritten by him giving permission to the " Gurudeva " . After this the " Gurudeva " went up and saw the Goddess and came down with his coterie. One sychophant asked his " Holiness Gurudeva " , " How is the Goddess? Gurudeva! " And the Gurudeva responded back " She looks brilliant with her rays flowing . I can see Her in all true splendour and light and the munificence of what Srichakra is all about. For she is verily...blah blah blah...blah blah blah " and a few more 'blah blah blah'. The holy crowd departed with the " Gurudeva " turning behind and blessing the 'lowly' temple with his Lotus hands. All the inncocent Indians in the temple were looking at this strange scene with openmouths. And they resumed their ways and into hurrying back to their homes as it was late. They had come there in buses and trains and not call-taxies! and it was getting late and they did not want to miss the last bus or train and wait for an hour in the darkness. That night the " gurudeva " in his Five star suite with his yesmen pressing his feet fell asleep. The humble but misguided disciples too fell asleep pressing his feet. Finally when all had blissfully entered the land of Morpheus(Greek God of sleep). The gurudeva felt that his head was CHOPPED OFF. He could see his headless trunk with his own eyes(after it was decapitated) and he also saw Devi Rajarajeshwari in anger doing it. He could not believe his eyes. How can one who looks so beautiful and soft do such a deadly thing?.He was crying in pain and agony and pleaded forgiveness for his supercilious act in the temple. The moment he was repentant he came out of his slumber. IT WAS ALL A DREAM...NAY! A NIGHTMARE!....Still in a state of torpor he quickly dressed in his Jhubba and came to the temple and waited patiently for the dawn to paint it's colours of morn' on the temple outside. When the temple doors opened a ''surprised-looking'' swami Rajagopala was blissfully adorned by this " Gurudeva " with profuse tears on the swami's blue lotus feet. Rajagopala swami then said " Your head was not decapitated it was your ego. Now you are 'set-right' and go back to London and continue your srividya puja. But before that please have your darshan and go. And yes, you need not remove your Jhubba this time too. " But the gurudeva threw his jhubba on the ground and ran to the still uninhabited temple like a baby into the arms of his seperated mother and had his darshan of Rajarajeshwari Matha with his two piece lion cloth. He cried and cried till he was exhasuted and took permission of swami and left the temple. The jhubba which lay on the ground was not picked by him and was used by some street-side urchins. Eshwaree Rakshathu!!
