Guest guest
Dear Members, Continuing my series of miracle stories on the temple. This incident happened some years ago. The temple which was built had a small devoted following. The temple is closed in the night time by 8:30 pm and only on piurnami it might extend to 9 or 930pm in a rare case. That day after the temple was closed, Pandurangam came out of the temple. He was a lover of Amba. He belonged to a poor community and a low-caste. He wore nothing but a torn shirt and a lungi. He was poor and suffering from the obvious pangs of poverty. And he stayed there near the temple even after it was closed and then kept walking aimlessly in the area. Then when it was mid night. He came to his senses. He thought his wandering will do him no good but weaken his bones. So, He decided to go back to his home. It was 12:30 pm by then. He was passing the temple as he was going to his home. Suddenly out of nowhere a small girl who looked very beautiful came near him from darkness. He first thought he was hallucinating. But later he realised this was real. He asked her " Hey! Little girl...are you mad. You look like a child from a rich family and why do you roam in this deadly hour here? " The child was wearing a beautiful pavaadai dhavani and looked around 7 years old replied back in Pure Tamil " Yaam engum selbaval, edhilum niraibaval " (I go anywhere I please and ''fill'' anything i want " .) Pandurangan thought this girl was trying to be funny. He told he did you see a religious film to talk like this.(He asked whether she saw 'thiruvilayaadal " movie of shivaji whjere hje speaks like that to nagesh). The girl replied back in pure tamil " All arts are mine " Pandurangan got irritated and said " ok wise girl if all arts are mine make me a great poet let me see " The girl laughed out aloud and said " Appadiye Aaagattum " (Thathaasthu in Pure tamil) And said " I have an errand to run in another home and someone is calling me so I will go " Pandurangan was amused at this girl's behaviour and mocked her by showing his abhaya hastha(hands raised postion to bless) and said " Appadiye' Aaagattum " !! Then he was a walking few steps and then suddenly something struck him, what errand could that girl possibly have at this hour?????? So he turned back and could not find that girl anywhere. He searched all over the area and could not find the girl. Nextday morning he asked everyone in the area(back in those days nanganallur was not a big locality just a handful of houses) And everyone thought he was talking through his hat. He then went to swami and he said, " Guess who came?? " Pandurangan said " Ambal? " Swami said " Bala Tripuara Sundari who comes to see Her mother Rajarajeshwaree every night in the temple and you were lucky like kalidasa to have got poetry from the divine daughter of ambal. Now, dont waste your time just sing one poem for Devi let me see...Haha! " Pandurangan composed a poem in Tamil praising Bala and he was not even educated till 5th std!! His verses were of pure Tamil. And he is popular in the Tamil poetic circles and writes in another penname and rarely in his name as Pandurangan. He is rich now ,thanks to his poetic skill and the blessings of Amba Rajarajeshwari who sw his plight. Let all good things happen to pure people who come to the temple. Appadiye' Aagattum!
