Guest guest
Dear Members, I come with yet another miracle story in connection with the temple.I somtimes dont feel like talking too much about the temple because the pristine beauty of the temple lies in it's non-commercial nature and very less crowd. Most of the crowd which come to the the temple has been hand-picked by Devi Herself. This is 100% true. No one can even enter the temple without her permission or Divine will. There are many stories in this regard too. So with these stories and popularity if many people go,I sometimes feel the temple will lose it's beauty which lies in less crowds and more bhakthi. But on the other hand I feel like shouting on the rooftops of each house like Ramanuja even if Iam damned about the glory of Devi and her temple. Also Iam not a great man to decide who should come to the temple or not. Crowds or no crowds the shalthi remains the same and inexhaustible. It is not a borewell to become dry after constant use! This incident happened three years ago. There is an ardent Chettiar devotee(names withheld for obvious reasons) who used to come to the temple and have great faith in Swami. He was not doing any srividya puja or great worship but he was highly devoted to Swami and Amba Rajarjeshwari Devi. He was very affluent and influential too but before swami he was very docile and never even used to raise his voice. He was 'bhavya'- personified and used to look at Swami Rajagopala like the sunflower which sees the sun, where it goes. Now, this devotee has a daughter and she was disabled at that time. She could not walk at all. She was physically lifted by his servants and placed in a chair and the chair used to be taken up. It was a pathetic sight to watch. This man finally unable to see his young daughter's plight sought Swami's help. Swami looked compassionately into his eyes. But spoke sternly in Tamil " En mel nambikkai irrukaa? " (Do you have faith in me?). The man looked straight into his eyes and said " Yes " Then swami said again " Pisiru alavukku kooda avanambikkai irukkakoodaathu " (There should not be even a wee bit of distrust in me.) The man replied " Aam swami muzhu nambikkai undu thangal mel " (Yes Swami I have complete belief in you) The swami looked at him for a few moments to see whether he really meant it. Then he said suddenly " Ok bring your daughter when I do the Chandi homa during navaraathri this year. I will put an end to this problem. " The man was jubilant and could not believe his ears. Swami is generally reserved and leaves everything for Amba to do and only when a person has ultimate belief in Him he will not help.So it was a vindication of his faith and anantha shraddha in Swami Rajagopala. The day arrived. Navaraatri was being celebrated with Bhakthi and shraddha in the temple. Rajarajeshwaree devi was grandly decorated with glittering real diamond Kavacha. She shone more brillaint than the Moon and the sun combined who faded into obscurity at Her grandeur. The man came with his daughter and had his darshan of Devi and swami. Swami said to the girl " See me when Iam performing the Chnadi Yaga " The girl meekly nodded her head in reverence. Swami performed the Chandi Yaga like Rudra possessed as usual. Then suddenly after the homa was over he got up. And shouted at the top of his voice " GET UP AND FOLLOW ME " Everyone were stunned but kept quite like mouse before a lion. Was Swami out of his senses to order a lame woman to follow him? But Lo! Behold! Eshwaree!!!! The girl began to walk. She grunted like a LIONESS....And was literally roaring like a lioness. She was not talking but behaved as if it was a woman possessed. This was a miracle because the doctors had given up hope in this ''case''. Her mother tried to support her fearing she would fall down but Swami thundered " LEAVE HER ALONE SHE WILL WALK.DO NOT TOUCH HER " Her mother cowered down. And swami said follow me. The girl followed swami and the swami went round the temple three times and the girl followed him like a lioness. Her gait was that of a lioness. Maybe he invoked the very PRATHYANGIRA DEVI into her flesh and bones. The people who saw this sight still talk about this miracle today. Then swami said to her " Enough " and she collapsed then and there and she fainted and she was taken and placed in the chair. Swami then returned back to normalcy and nifty. He said gently to the fearful people who were shivering at the scene " The Devi's rays entered her and she was healed " This was true humility. It was he cured the girl but He transferred the credit to Devi. The girl then began to walk stumblingly in the home for a few weeks and then she somehow managed to walk normally in another two weeks or so. Now the girl resides abroad happily married. The walk of the lioness was the miracle and the rays of Devi were the cause of it. Om Simhaarooda Maha devi! Bibrathi theevra Naada jhankaaree! Sree Rajarajeshwaree!
