Guest guest
Dear Pavani Ganga Ma, It is believed that the left hand of Sati fell at Varanasi, and that Annapurna or Visalakshi represent the Shakti Peetham here.I had already given a posting on Annapoorna devi, please peruse it. Visalaskhi is a version of the Devi who is wide eyed(Visala means wide). In olden days people used to say Kanchi Kamatchi Madurai Meenakshi Kaasi Visaalakshi Malayala Bhagavathy Darshanam MokshaKaranam. Om Hreem Visaalskyai Namaha Swaha is a time tested Mantra for invoking the deity. Tantric practices involving chants, gestures and yantras (geometric shapes) also govern the worship of Shakti. Local forms of Shakti, not conforming to Agamic or Tantric rules are also widely prevalent throughout the length and breadth of Varanasi. Hope this small posting helps... Guest guest
Dear Lalit ji, The medha mantra must be got from a Guru. However you might get it from the book 'Japa Vidhi' published by Ramakrishna Mutt. ...The mantra will end thus ...'Mahyam Medham Pragnyaam Prayaccha swaha'....I always recommend a Guru's protection for this mantra as this is a powerful Dakshina Murthy Mantra. I suffered very dearly with Vipareetha Sadhanas. I always run 'Two extra miles' for anything and this attitude though might be good for the material world is not good for spirituality because one should not over do things and wait patiently. I learnt it the costly way and used to wallow about like the Vikram Guy in 'Sethu' film raving mad but by God's grace I came out unscathed by the sheer grace of Guru and my Guru-Para(whom I cannot mention here in the public forum). What Gopi Krishna suffered was miniscule when compared to the kundalini fiasco I experienced. So please donot misunderstand me each time I say Guru. Iam also very young like you, infact younger than you but still the experience made me very wise and mature. I experienced thousand Roravas in one day(one day during the suffering period).... However if your Karma is Dridha I cannot save you. That is why I have given the book's name where you can get the mantra b ut I absolve myself of any blame which might happen in future if you try the mantra concentrating on your agnyaa region. There are some minor chakras like Lalata , sookshma randhra and Mekhala chakras which you might concetrate on but I cannot say any further than this. People do not even know the names of these chakras..so again I take umbrage under anonimity. I pity the youngsters these days. There are not 'good' elders to guide them in the sadhanas and they just read books and try to do things. When I mean books I mean all ''uninitiatory stuff' which includes online sites and maybe even this forum. Kundalini is not be messed around with. One needs a high level Guru. And these days some Gurus say they can raise the Kundalini with the mere stroking of their hands on the spine of a disciple. I just roll on the ground laughing laughing at such nincompoops. They just are fooling people. That is a great siddhi. It is called " Ha--!@##$$ " siddhi(I cannot reveal even the name of the siddhi sorry! i have just given the first two alphabets) and this siddhi takes minimum 5000 years to master. So touching the spine,or the third eye region et al produce euphoric feelings in the disciple and nothing more.I would say they better take a massage machine and put in the back or the third eye regiuon atleast some accupressure massage will benefit the body instead of burning a hole in the pocket with these costly Gurus. Can Kundalini be bought? So indulging in Kundalini must be done under the strict guidance and supervision of a Gururaya. Shubhankari,Shakambari!! Kundalinis for Sale!! Guest guest
Dear Lalitji, As an addendum I would like to add that I add that image at the end of my postings as a nostalgic thing of my Kundalini experience which I had. Sometimes I would have typed some mantras for all to follow or in reply to some questions but by the time I type " Yuors yogically " and add the image I just shudder and delete the mantras lest the innocent person not suffer like how I suffered. Yam petra inbam peruga Ivvaiyagam(Let the joy/ananda I have enjoyed be multiplied in this universe!). This should be the siddhic thought and not " Yam petra 'sodhanai'(sodhanai means 'suffering')... " On that siddhic note I stop my speeding fingers which type... Guest guest
Dear Lalit Bhai, Shaktipatha is a fantastic term but it does not raise the Kundalini as such. Kundalini Arohanam(the raise of Kundalini) is not so easy. What a good Guru(when I talk of a good Guru I mean someone like Sage Agastya) can do however is to induce Shaktipatha which means the Dharana of their shakthi in the subtle body. Which will detach the aspirants inclination to go down or be sucked(in kundalini terms it is called 'shareerapathanam') in the worldy vortex. This will help him to progress in the Kundalini sadhana. It will not perse 'raise' Kundalini Devi. To be very frank with you even a person with Ha--@#$%^ Siddhi cannot raise Kundalini but rather clear a blockage and create a vacuum for the Kundalini to raise. Now, why is Kundalini unraisable except by the aspirant Himself. This is because Kundalini is his Adyashakthi. His 'wife' so to speak. And she is even more 'Pavitra'(Holy) than Satidevi Herself. Which means noone can even dare to touch your Kundalini shakthi. It will lash at them and burn them to cinders(spiritually). It is like 'lusting' a chaste Rishi Patni(Rishi's wife). The very thought will burn you to cinders.Your wife can be 'touched' only by you.Hope this is very clear. I know this explantion might not ring bell with some puritanicals of this group who read texts. But I know this for certain since I have experienced and burnt my nerves in this sadhana. Also many Kundalini secrets are kept 'Ghumbha'(Highly secretive) before public and the public at the best know the Veejaksharas(Veeja and not Beeja as many people mispronounce) and the petals etc. In kaliyuga the real scrouge is 'books'. Bookish knowledge makes people think they are great beings who have descended from heaven! So shakthipatha helps in giving potency to a mantra which will help raise the Kundalini with your 'intent' It is not even the mantriac shakti which will raise Kundalini but your 'Intent'. Many think just by chanting mantras like 'Lam'(or the tibetan counter part 'Lang') Kundalini Arohanam can be achieved. This is silly. I cannot reveal why it is silly. Just think along the lines I have explained supra and you will understand why it is silly. However such Veejas have a role in the Kundalini sadhana for begginners whose 'intent-energy' is low. More I type more I reveal. So I will stop my speeding fingers here. It is said the fingers have more brain nerve cell connections than any other organ in the human body. So what is there in brain will come about on screen. I stay 'Ghumbha' on this count!...Hehe! Mudita, Modita, MahaParaAvasta!
