Bro and sisters,

I've two questions:

a.)What is the difference between AMBAL seated on lion and tiger?

Which one is Durga Devi?

b.) Difference between annai Sri Rajarajeshwari and Athi Parasakthi?

So far none give me proper explaination about them. Please help

Dear Arulji,

I have answered the first question in a rather lenghthy posting in

reply to Aparna Ma long time ago. Please peruse the old postings one

and by one. I will tell the message number later. It came in the wake

of one posting on one of the chpaters of Devi Mahatmyam.

To answer your question briefly Durga devi takes up a tiger vahana

for samhara and lion vahana for blessing and other purposes and

Rajarajeshwari takes up a lion vahana only for all purposes.

Shree Rajarajeshwari Devi is the Highest form in the feminine divine

aspects. That is why such a name is ascribed though one says that

each devi when ignited will form the highest for that individual.

Aadi parashakthi is a form worshippd by the siddhas of tamilnadu. It

refers to the adya kundalini shakthi. It is also a form of Turiya

shakthi and also kundalini prerepana shakthi. Rajarajeshwari mantra

(panchandasi and maha shodasi version) will act as aadi parashakthi.

There are no strict demarcations. It is like asking what is the

difference between sadashiva and Rudra? Both have different forms

but emerge from the same priniciple of Adya-shivam! Thus there

should be no place for confusion! anywhere and acceptance of all

forms as the betific form of devi will help!

LET THERE BE LIGHT!

Yours yogically,

Shreeram Balijepalli

The second question is an interesting one.
