Shuddi regimen for obtaining Panchdasi mantra

Dear Shubangini Ma,

 

In reply to your query regardin gthe shuddi vidhi before obtaining

Panchadasi.

 

This mantra is purely the domain of the Guru.If the guru feels you

do not need any shuddhi and gives it right away then you should do

what your Guru exhorts you to.(when I talk about guru it means a

highly elevated soul who is in constant communion with Shodasi Devi)

 

However normally the shuddhi regimen followed for Srividya

Panchadasi maha Mantra is

 

In the beginning a Purascharana of Ganesa Veejaakshara-Mantra should

be done. Then Mantra Purascharanas of Gayatri-Mantra, Maha-

Mrityunjaya-Mantra and Durga-Mantra (Vaidika or Tantrika) have to be

done. After this in some cases Bala Tripura Sundari Mantra is given

for purascharana or for chanting for few years and then finally

Panchadasakshari and the Shodasakshari have to be taken up for Japa.

 

This is essential because Panchadasi and Mahashodasi can ignite the

Mantra-rajita-Adharakunda('Mantra absorbing pot of fuel') below

Muladhara and thus a kundalini prerepana(kindling) is done. If the

Kundalini energy starts flowing in 'Ashuddha' margaani(unclean

channels) then great detriments accrue upon the doer. Thus the fear.

 

Always an Acharya is necessary to obviate this impediment.The Mantra

siddhis is acheived for panchadasi or Mahashodasi if

28 rounds of the holy mantra it is done per day for one mandala(7

weeks).Upon Mantra siddhi Shodasi-swaroopini sits in the heart of

the upasaka and guides Him/Her.The Acharya swaroopa,Mantra

Uccharana,Devi Kataaksha all meld into one holy union for the

sadhaka upon frucitification of the mantra.
