Guest guest
Dear All, I had given a few postings ago for one query to pray to Prathyangira Devi. One member of our group gave a 'strong' e-mail saying that Prathyangira Devi belongs to the Loka of Devils! and that She has not stava or homas and that Her worship is done by Devils and Asuras. Also he goes on to say in his elaborate e-mail that She is a creation of an Asuric entity of the Brahmam. He quotes some 'Divine majesty swaminee' saying this and asks not to seek help from other people when in ditress but to pray to Naraayana. The person also says the prayers of the lady reached God and thus there is no need to ask for help from anyone. If that be the case then why is his father not freed from alcholoism. If the very same person has any problem he will run from pillar to post to solve his problem. Advices are always for OTHER people!! I can just get two pertinent messgaes from the e-mail ID and the message. He is a staunch Vaishnavite 2. He does not know even an iota of the power, benevelence and power of Prathyangira Devi. He has drawn a metaphor from Mundamaalinee Tantra to support His argument and says no mantra exists to call Mundamaalinee devi and hence no such mantra 'muct' exist to call prathyangira Devi. I can challenge Him to sit before me and quote from the Mundamaaline text regarding this. Iam sure he is talking through His hat. I have the text with me and when even asuras have mantras to beckon will not Mundamaalinee devi also have one?I normally do not engage in such intellectual battle but if the case be for the truth I do not mind sitting before the person and showing him certain things. I have seen that many vaishnavites go out and out to disparage other relgious forms of worhsip and call names other deities to the extent of even calling Lors Shiva a Demi god in service to Vishnu! This is all asinine. All Gods and Goddesses are equal. All paths lead to the same Parabrahmic essence which the member was negatively alluding. Will Lord Vishnu like such comments on Devi or Shiva? I hate to engage in any further tirades and find the entire charade poking fun at Devi and debasing Her holiness. May Eshwaree lead him too to the right path. Eshwaree Rakshathu! Shreeram Balijepalli P.S. I never asked the person to do Prathyangira Homam but just told certain points. I still stick boldly to what I have stated in the posting and say that He will benefit from reading the Stavam of the Devi. She is Divine mother not a Devil incarnate as the member says. Guest guest
Dear member, May i please request you, donot bring any arguments regarding man made assumptions, i'm no judge nor i know much bout Prathyangira Devi nor Mundamaalinee Tantra but just know one thing is EQUALITY. If you are a Vaishnavite its good, but keep the goodness to youself and try to respect others or their preachings. We humans are no judge to what is right or wrong, just do the right thing and be good and good will come back to you. This was also said by krishna in bhagwat gita, why do you forget that. So please donot spoil the calmness of the river thats been flowing with such positivity and powering knowledge(i'm refering to this group). If you dont agree with the discussions in this group i request the group moderator to take some action. Guest guest
it is interesting to note here that on the overall the feminine aspect of worship has also been very much so suppressed by the western christian ideology , however in recent years the movement towards the goddess aspect has changed ( not in conservative circles thought). namaste, Joanna
