Dear Shaaktha priyas, Sadguru Paadam Sharanam Sharanam! September 27 1957 Location: 102 Thayappamudali Street, Chennai( A small two storied house in front of Prasannavenkatesa Perumal Temple) Upstairs, there was a small verandah adjoining a small room dedicated for worship and a small kitchen. Half the worship room was dediacted for Homakundam(dug-in altar for fire sacrifices). The third day of the most auspicious navaratri a Friday and the star was the radiant

Vishaka Nakshatra. The time was about 10 PM. (Rajagopala Swami offering the purnahuti) Sri Rajagopala Swami offered oblations into the sacred fire with the most sacred Mahashodasi mantra of the Srividya tradition. A milling crowd of over one thousand devotees; inside and outside and on the street were waiting patiently and watching

the divine karya being performed. Swami performed the final purnaahuti into the sacred fire. He then distributed the prasadam(holy edible sacrament) to all. Then the curtains were drawn over the worship room. Swami relaxed outside in the verandah talking to some devotees. About midnight, two devotees emerge from the worship room and report to the swami with 'breathless breaths' "Swami Swami! come

and see; there is something bright and shiny floating over the sacred fire!!" Swami rushed in to have a look. Indeed, among the flames in the homakundam were floating a number of shiny gem-like stones!! Swami then inserted a plate into the fire carefully but as soon as the plate touched the gems it became heavy and the plate tilted. SO he balanced the plate again carefully and brought out the divine gems out of the Homakundam. (Sage of Kanchi) The very next day, the gems which floated on the fire were taken to the sage of kanchi, Sri Chandrashekarendra Saraswathy(who is now in samadhi). He took a look at those gems and in His divine sight, the biggest gem appeared like Divine mother Rajarajeshwari Herself and the others as endowed withextraordinary powers(siddhi gems as they are called). Just as the sage of kanchi pronounced oracularly, the biggest gem

transformed itself into the likeness of Sri Rajarajeshwari bearing sugarcane , flower arrows etal(I have made this idol as the group Homepage photo and also have pasted it below). She who stunned all Devas into a swoon except the divine trinity and Guru Angirasa by the great sound and intense light of Her appearance as Sri Lalitha Rajarajeshwari Parabhattarika Devi from the Homakunda in Himalayas where she first appeared, verily the same Rajarajeshwari Devi rose from the homakunda of Madras(chennai) inconspciously and queitly as a shiny stone without stunning

the poor kaliyuga manavas with Her majestic entrance. (To be continued...) At His holy feet, Om Ayieem Hreem Shreem Chidagnikundasambhoothayai Namaha!! Yours yogically, Shreeram Balijepalli
