Last posting I stopped with my Gurunathar's dilemma. Well, dilemma is of the human mind. Human mind like the geminian symbol is twin-like. There is a good and there is a bad. There is a thought and an anti-thought. I too being a Geminian face lot of turmoil in my mind but the turmoil is put to an end with a prayer to the Divine and guidance from the Divine. Then just imagine my Gurunathar would He not have asked Amba immidieately. Amba replied back" Son, this is where I desire to stay for the next two thousand years. I will work from Here in the form of Mahashodasi rupa. No other temple in the universe will have the distinction of the Mahashodasi rupa, people may build thousands of temples maybe even greater than this temple with pathways paved with Gold but my presence will be here in the fullest form. I may take other forms elsewhere. I say this because I had been here thousands of years ago. Rishis worshipped me exactly at the same spot. I wish my temple to be build here. This is my Divine command." Swamiji immidieately started building the temple. He first cleared the area of bones and other irreligious articles. He even dug the area and saw that bone remnants were taken away. Then He had to do some purifying procedures to make it fit for Dakshinachara. This purifying procedure only Swamiji knows and never revealed to people. However, he also saw to that Homas including Chandi Homas were done in that area. Initially a thatched roof was erected there and slolwy the building was built. Meanwhile Swamiji with His divine vision and Amba's command also revealed one more thing. In the Holy text by Thirumoolar called 'Thirumantiram' There is a mention of the area "Edangai Nangai Irai engal Mukkani" The mention of Nangai and the reference to the Mukkani was there in Thirumantiram in Tripura chakra Villakam. Hence it was confirmed by the five thousand year old text as the Moolasthana for Rajarajeshwari Devi. Mukkani refers to Rajarajeshwari who is the amalgam of three shakthis--Ayiem shakthi, Hreem Shakti and Shreem Shakthi.(Some say Iccha shakthi, Kriya Shakthi and Gnaana shakthi) Iccha means want/desire Kriya means Action Gnaana means Knowledge. The spanda (or the primordial vibe) was first a 'want/desire' then an action followed(Let there be light........ala Bible) and then there was Gnaana(The one gave rise to many and the many to ten thousand things .....ala Tao Te ching). The above is my interpretation in an esoteric way after a meditative session with a higher source for the answer to the question I posed. Now coming back to the story, Swamiji started building the temple assiduously brick by brick. By no sooner did he build a structure it would suddenly collapse. This happened not once or twice but many times. He then got frustrated and said to Amba" Please guide me why do you play this Leela of yours?" Amba replied back" I want this whole temple to be built exactly how it was thousands of years ago, the right size and right height not less not more. Only then the correct rays will emnate from the yantras placed beneath each step and at important places to make it the fullest mahashodasi mantralaya" Swami asked "How am I to know how to build this? Iam not an architect" Devi said "You will, soon" Now without going into details as Iam prevented from revealing Swamiji found a book miraculously which paved way for understanding how to build the temple in the Srividya way. The building was thus built not in an agama way as the shivacharyas do but in srividya way using the coded language of Parasurama Kalpataru(Infact I named this group as Rajarajeshwari Kalpataru because, I want this group to be a small temple in the vast desert of world wide web for people who are spiritually parched...a small oasis. I took the cue from the inchoatory idea behind the temple.) The gopuram was built based on Durga Rahasya Tantra text recommendations.(Below is the photo of the Gopuram) (Gopuram of the temple built on Durga Rahasya Tantra text recommendation as ordained by Devi). Infact Devi ordains everything in this temple and also the adjacent Sathya Narayana Perumal temple. Not only that She also ordains who should come to the temple, who should see Swamiji, who will serve Her in what way, etc. I have seen that despite my trying to be there certain days, I could not be there and I get a message in my ear "Stay where you are today" I first used to ignore such messages and tried to act smart by trying to go there. I once even got there but to my dismay the temple doors were closed because I arrived five minutes late that night!! No one can beat my Mother's Will!!!! That being so for small things as even visiting swamiji(for that matter even joining this group) then just imagine how much more care the temple's construction would have been in Her hands. She sent Her son Swami Rajagopala to build this temple and propogate Her name and Srividya worship to the world. And She is the master executrix who can micro-manage and also macro-manage events and things. Now coming to another story connected with teh temple at the time of its construction and after... ( Temple city of Madurai) There is a small town, called Vattalagundu, near Madurai in Tamilnadu. I dont know how many of the group members are aware of it. It is the birth place of one Sri Sundararaja Rao.Sri Rao was a Madhva by birth and belonged to Srivyasaraya Mutt of the dualistic(dvaita) school of vedanta. He was employed by Parry & Co. When he was fifteen or sixteen years of age, Sri Hanuman Himself appeared before him, placed him on his lap and gave him mantropadesham(mantra initiation/baptism). Even though he was a Madhva and was expected to be exclusively devoted to Sri Krishna or Narayana or his forms, he worshipped Lord Subramanya also. Many deities used to appear before him!! They either stood or walked ahead of him or sometimes even followed him.Hius nature was not to engage or initiate in unnecessary conversation with any of the deities.(Much to learn from this soul as people hanker after experiences in every spiritual endeavour!). So when he noticed the presence of Sri Subramanya, Sri Hanuman, Sri Rajarajeshwari or Sri Iyyappa he would see for a second then simply continue to be busy with his work in Parry & Co,(then a British company too). And as usual would not ask them any question or start any conversation with them. We will see next posting what connection this humble and noble soul had with the temple. Today I think I gave three parts enthusiastically all in one day! I think I will take a much deserved break tommorow and the day after and unfold the story with greater divine fervour. For they say " Amritamapi adhikam visham"(Even divine ambrosia given in excess is poison!). (To be continued...) At His Holy feet, Sharanam Tarunendu Shekaraha Sharanam Me Girirajakanyakaa! Guest guest
Dear Shreeram Please Please I wish to learn/read (sorry I am short of exact words to use) Swami's life. Kindly include more text. May be due to attaching pictures - this procedure - is taking ur time.I am rather spell bound. Your actions is akin to a person who pour few water drops to the one who is very thirsty. I am right now in that position. You are in fact doing us a great favour. As I am a lay man & do not feel ashamed to ask you 'Shree please give me some more quickly & dont keep me in thirsty mode'. I will be in chennai on 16th of this month after noon & will visit the temple same day evening with my wife. Am daily praying to Her that She grant us to See Her & Her beloved Child. I hope She will sweetly dispose my request. Guest guest
Dear Member, By including more text, the message will be lost in words. That is why I chose brevity to create maximum impact in the minds of the readers. Please be patient. A re-reading of the story from the first will again pour water into your parched throat. As I said " Amritamapi Adhikam Visham " --Even Divine ambrosia if given in excess is poison. I wish you all the best in your spiritual sojourn with Devi Rajarajeshwari which is starting with your visit on 16th as you have mentioned. Do spread the word about the temple,Devi, Srividya, Swamiji and maybe even this group to like-minded people. Sarvam Eshwaree Iccha! Guest guest
Dear Shreeram, I also felt the same way but quickly understood the reason behind your action. We get a lot of HER GRACE but so quickly get lost in this WORLD. So a drop to keep me alive is so alright I cannot even explain. How many times SHE has takes us in HER LAP and as soon as she puts us in the ground we are running after things that takes us far far away from HER. I can understand with HER GRACE how eager is this member for I felt the same way. How GREAT is your Gurunatha and how unassuming a personality - HE reminds me of My Baba - Kachhapa Rupa.
