Guest guest
Dear yogivendans, I will post selected spiritual experiences I had during my lifetime.Iam not very old. Iam in my late twenties but since my association with saints started at a very early age, thanks to my father and mother, I do have lots of experiences apart from Srividya Tantra which can be shared. Iam doing this just to ignite your 'fires of aspiration' and also to tell that such things exist in Kaliyuga. I was on an audit tour those days. I was doing my CA apprenticeship. Being a science student who left engineering college to elect a new career in accountancy, I was all eager to learn the intricasies of audit and accounts. My posting was made by my Auidt senior to Ariyalur Cemenet factory (Tancem) now called Arasu cements. Ariyalur is a place near Trichy, Tamilnadu. I was feeling bored working for months together in the place. The place was not so interesting. One day I decided to take a break and on a sunday i asked the watchman " Ennangaa inga araachi saamy illaa siddhar illa mahaan irrukaangala? " (Is there any swamy siddha or a mahan here?) The watchman broke into a smile " Thambi paakkaa pattanathukaarraru maadiri teriyareenga. Ungalukku edhukku ayya thuravigala patthi " (You young sir look like you have come from a big city why do you need the whereabouts of a hermit?) I replied back " Ada! summa sollunga. Ungallukku inni madhiya saapaadu naa vekkeren, trichyile jeepala kootikittu poyi " (Oh! comeone just tell me, I will give you a treat(today's lunch) in Trichy taking you by jeep) He just looked at me whether I was joking being a youngchap in jeans. Then he replied back " Thambi summa solludhaa " (Thambi is simply joking) I replied back " Ada! Neenga thirunalveli yaa? Inga enna pannudha? " (In thirunalveli Tamil accent) (Hey are you from thirunalveli? what are you doing here? " ) After a few more of such talk with him, he finally broke ice and promised me to take to a yogi he saw in a near by pottakaadu(brush forest) We went. There I saw a yogi who looked like a madman with just a kaavi(ochre garment) below his waist and a rudraaksha mala sitting under a tree in a desolate area. I then approached him and said " Ayya vanakkam " (Sir namasthe) He just looked in my eyes peircingly. The watchman got afraid " Ayya polladhavaru ivaru, kovam romba jaasthi. Oru maarkamaa pakudhaa " (Sir, he is a deadly man, he has lot of temper, he is also looking into your eyes in a strange way) I replied back " Ada summa iru " (Just be quite) The yogi did not hear us or rather did not care for us and then went into dhyana. He was sitting there the whole day, in the hotsun. We went to a nearby shade of a tree. The watchman said " Ayya ennaya vittudungayya en polappa paakkudhaa " (Sir please leave me I have my work to do) I replied back " sari nee po, naa pathukkaren " The watchman went away and said he will wait near the industrial colony area(residential area) for his treat. I said " Ok fine take this money do what you want and thank you for showing me this yogi " The yogi came out of his dhyana late evening He saw me again and said " will you not leave me alone? " I repled back " I know you yogis(true yogis) prefer solitude and silence and dont like to be pestered but iam like the eesal(a type of firefly in tamil) who comes in search of fire. You are that fire " He just kept quite. Then he replied back " Ok shreeram tell me what do you want? " I was stunned " How did the yogi know my name?!! " I was even more curious. I just said humbly after falling at his feet for a second time. " Ayya neenga unga darisana bhaagyam kodupathe periya vishayam. Naa enna ketpen ayya?. Ennaku enna teriyum? Ella puthaga arivu thaan. Ennakku agala manamum ammanin arullum vendum " (Sir what can i ask your mere darshan is very rare for me. what do i know ? I just read books. I need a faithful(nischal mind on Amba) and Amma's grace " He laughed. I did not understand why then I understood why I blurted out Amba instead of Perumal(vishnu whom i was ardently worshipping those days). I really did not understand, why those words came?!! Was it his maya, his leela? At that time, I did not even know Rajagopala swami much. I then said " Ayyo tappa sollitten perumaala thaan amman endru... " (Oh i think i uttered wrongly, it was perumal which I meant... " He replied back " Illa nee sariyaathaan sonne. Appadiye aagattum. Naa ingirundhu ella paathukkaren " (He said " no you said correctly. I will look after everything from here) I did not understand then. But now I understand. I came the next day too but I could not find the pottakaadu yogi. Eshwaree rakshathu! Shreeram Balijepalli
