With the blessings of Anagha sahitha Lord Dattatreya, it has been decided to perform "ANNADAANA" programme to morethan 1000 devotees at Shree Nrusimha Saraswathy Swamy (the second incarnation of Lord Dattatreya) Matha praangana of Gaanagapur on 11th of June, 2006 (Sunday). The day is Jaishta Suddha Pournami and is termed as "ERUVAKA POURNAMI". The new water will join in all the rivers from this day. The main "sankalpa" for this programme was created in mind from the story of BHASKARA BHATTU (Chapter number 38 of Shree Gurucharitra). So, personally contacted the priests of the temple and they have accepted to arrange all the arrangements for the programme. We are personally inviting the residents of the Ganagapur, devotees who are visiting the temple on that day and other devotees who are willing to participate in the programme. The annadana programme will be arranged by placing leaves to every one with full menu of Rice, Curry, Chutney, Sambar and Sweet. As said in Shree Gurucharitra by Shree Swamy, Lord Dattatreya will come to Gaanagapur everyday to accept BHIKSHA there. So it is definite to tell that, swamy will participate in our programme. It is the blessings of Lord Dattatreya to do such seva at Gaangapur. Here, I am quoting some text of 38 chapter of Shreegurucharitra for referece. The influx of devotees to Gangapur for Guru Nath's Darshan was increasing day by day. They used to offer Bhiksha to Guru Nath and they also used to do Samaradhana, i.e., feeding a large number of people of the town. One day a poor Brahmin by name of Bhaskaryya came to Gangapur for Sri Narasimha Saraswati's Darshan and also with the intention of offering him Bhiksha. Sri Narasimha Saraswati then told the Brahmin to bring the food he had cooked and to place it before him. The Brahmin, with great trepidation and embarrassment, brought the scanty food he had cooked and placed it in before Sri Guru Nath. Guru Nath covered the vessel containing the food with his shawl. The Brahmin then offered his worship to Guru Nath. After worship was over, Guru Nath asked the brahmin to start serving food to all the assembled , but keeping the vessel containing the food, covered with the shawl. The Brahmin started serving and the food became "Akshaya", i.e.,in exhaustible and undiminishing. Besides the Brahmins, people of all the castes, their families and their children were also served the food and Guru Nath said that the Brahmin should now take his food. The Brahmin was asked to remove the shawl that was covering the food all along. The shawl was removed Lo! whatever food Bhaskaravya had cooked and what was in the vessel originally, remained. Bhaskaravya thanked Guru Nath who asked Bhaskaravya to feed dogs, crows etc., for Bhuta-Trupti and also offer it to the aquatic creatures (fishes, etc) in the river waters. The little residual food still continued to remain undiminished. That is the result of the faith keeping on Jagadguru. At the time of Anthardhan Shreeguru told to the people of Ganagapur as:: What would be Gangapur without Guru Nath? Guru Nath was it's sole life and light. Seeing how grief stricken all were, Guru Nath announced that although they would not be able to see his physical form at Gangapur, yet he would be abiding there for ever, in His invisible form (in his grace body). He would continue to answer all prayers, and would continue to shower His grace on all supplicants. He further said that wherever He be, he would continue to be visiting Sangam in the mornings everyday for his bath, and by midday he would be visiting the Math unfailingly, though He would not be visible to the fleshy, human eyes. He said that he would be having His Nirguna Padukas in the Math and that they would be a reservoir and repository of all spiritual power. So, with the blessings of DattaMaharaj, we want to perform the "Samaradhana" programme on 11th June, 2006 to morethan 1000 devotees and at the end of the programme the balance will feed to dogs, crows and further merged in Sangam water for Bhutha trupti. All the members of the group are requested to participate in the programme and have the blessings of Lord Dattatreya. If any person wants to contribute anything for the above programme,or for further details, kindly contact datta_gururaya or +91 9440820130 . Eka aavarthan Rudrabhisheka will be performed on the names of the contributors at Mathaprangana of Dattadevasthan, Ganagapur on 12th of June, 2006. :: avadhootha chinthana sree gurudeva datta :: subrahmanyam.bharathula smarthrugaami-dattavibhavam datta_gururaya
