Dear Sarmagaru, Every Sadhaka who is initiated into Panchadasi or higher mantrasneed not have a seperate initiation into this malamantras. He justneeds to inform His Preceptor regarding this. Some

sampradayas say this mala mantra HAS to be recited in themorning by those who have got initiation into Panchadasi or highermantras. But our Swamiji is quite liberal and has not imposed suchniyamas. In sanskrit,"Rashmi" means a ray/glow/shine and "mala" means agarland: Thus Rashmimala is a mantric garland of divine-rays of themother goddess to be recited for the benefit of the mantra-shareeraof the Srividya upasaka(I have downloaded a Telugu Rashmimala textin our group) These mantras have healing properties to heal each physical andspirituo-psychical part of our body. A chakra dhyanam is done for each mantra and the respective mantrais to be visualized as bringing a pinkish golden fire in the chakra. This specific chakra procedure must be got from a Srividya adept. Vaikhari or jihva japa is not done but a manaseeka japa is to bedone as it involves chakras and a jihva or vaikhari japa willinterfere in the coherent meditative process of chakra dhyanam.Hope this helps...Yours yogically,Shreeram Balijepalli
