Guest guest
Dear Vamsee, After the discussion we had about discrete and continuous probability distribution versus surya namaskara and the tibetan yogic continuous sequence of movements.Ima giving this email about the Surya Yantra, which was followed by the Rishis in their surya sookshma hatha yoga exercises with the Veda Uccharana. The above is the Surya Yantra. Not counting the middle star there are 12 stars or the 12 adityas. Many these days falsely contrue the 12 positions starting from Namaskaraasana to Ashwasanchalanaasana(with hasthapaadasana and parvataasana) to be connected with an astrological movement thing. This is true in a way but as I was talkiothe phone regarding the 10%-10% spectrum rule for falsity and truth of any saying in Kaliyuga. What limits are there to formulating the original thesis? Are the way some theses are put end upstifling a reasonable understanding of the issue?I am think particularly here of theses that are either/or which deliberatelyignore other possibilities, and therefore, end up obscuring a reasonableunderstanding of the issue by preventing a fundamental challenge to thethesis itself, outside of a simple objection to the thesis.A good example is the thesis "Surya Namaskara is a Hathaygogic practice". This allows the yogi to provide reasons and the Rishi to provides objections, but it prevents a sadhaka from raising the fundamental problem of the thesis itself, which is it assumes the knowledge of the existence and non-existence of the above statement whether possible. In such a thesis the sadhaka's perspective is lost, and therefore, distortsan other-wise reasonable understanding of the issue.....unless you can thinkof a way to map this type of complexity? This is the bane of Kaliyuga, Vamsee! And sadly first Indians are becoming fools and westerners are becoming utter fools. Can't blame them both!
