Doubt regarding having faith in more than one GURU - is it allowed ? any conditions ? any limits ?

I have a doubt regarding having “faith”

(faith or surrender or pray) in more than one GURU even after associating with

and getting the mantropadesam from a GURU.

I don’t know if I my expression is

in right way, but I strongly believe you can understand it and clarify.

Dear Giridharji,

 

Eka-Guru-Eka-shakthi!---------This is the Status-quo for Guru

 

According to Tantra, there are three types of gurus:

 

inferior--Adhara

 

mediocre--Madhyamam

 

superior--Uttamam

 

Inferior gurus are those who may give some inspiration and deliver

speeches, but do not bother about whether the disciples follow their

teachings or not. Mediocre gurus impart knowledge to their disciples,

may give some practices and instructions and check on whether the

disciples are following their teachings, but they are not too

demanding. The superior guru, however, takes meticulous care to

ensure that the disciples follow His teachings and practices and

compels them to practice more sincerely by applying circumstantial

pressure. This is the Sadguru. He guides the disciple through the

most subtle and appropriate application of knowledge on every level

of existence (physical, psychic and spiritual) until the disciple

finally attains the Supreme Goal.

 

According to Tantra, there are many qualities by which a Sadguru can

be recognized:

 

Composed, self-controlled, modest, exemplary in conduct, pure in

thought, well-versed in the spiritual cult of Tantra and mantra,

highly intelligent, fully established in meditation, and able to both

punish and love His disciples.

Sadguru must also be married, because only a married person can be

the guru of married people. He must be soberly dressed and have an

honest means of livelihood.

 

He must be able to raise the kundalini of others, as well as His own.

One who can raise one's own kundalinii is called kaUla, but Sadguru

is called MahakaUla because He can raise the kundalinii of others too.

Till you find your Mahakaula Guru consider all the people who inspire

you as prerana-Gurus or rather guides. Your Moksha Guru will come

when your thirst for spirituality becomes unbearable.

 

Getting a mantropadesam does not mean anything,unless the Guru can

monitor you which ever world you might be and also can take control

your swapna-avastha(dream state) and protect you from unwanted Bad

Tantriks or yogis.

 

Only a highly elevated person can do that.

Your dilemma is this:

 

You have taken mantra-upadesham from someone(maybe not very

charismatic) and you feel pulled by someone else(who has not given

any deeksha) and now you feel guility reading all the shastras that

you are doing a " gurudroha " .

 

---This is a very subjeective thing and I cannot give any answer to

this offhand, if you feel shy to ask questions in a public forum,

then you may ask me privately at para_anuloma

General answer is---Do atleast the mantra which your Mantra-guru has

given and give utmost rspect to Him.

 

Goddess will show you a way if you intent and focus coherntly on Her

sacred energies.
