SAIRAM SREERAM, the mail to ur friend Ravi was interesting and read it for the 2nd time also to understand. but could not. by ur mail i come to know that u r a very eccentric person. love reading all ur mails. i am rather gifted to have ur acquaintance. Wish I have a son like u at least in my next birth. Warm Regards. Mrs.Malini Venkatesh Group Owner <para_anuloma wrote: Dear Ravi, You must excuse my typos I have many I just type fast what comes to my mind and dont check much. The other day when you left, I was walking with Senthil and he has rather exaggerated about what happened. That day after a small tiff with my mother, I heard the song.."En thayanum koilai kakkamarandhitta paavi adi kiliye'..." By ilayaraja(in the film Aranmalai kizhi), the raga is mayamalavagowli ragam and has been

powerfully composed with lot of emotion on Mother. So I fell down crying on the middle of the road itself! sobbing that "I could neither please my physical mother nor my divine mother in anyway, what a wretched soul iam" Then all of a sudden our Veeramani was there!! Can you believe that? This is what Senthil has exaggerated as my gretaness. Actually I have no hand in that only Divine will is there. He came and said " Ayya, will you accept a lowercatse fellow like me healing?" I replied back"These hands serve Appan(I meant shiva) and they cant be lowercaste only Iam lowercatse running for education and money to usa and canada" I said

thiss obbing. By this time our Senthil came when Deepak photostuidos guy said I was behaving strange by crying on road. Veeramani then placed his hands on my hand and said " Om sing rang...sakala kattukalai arruthu eri siva"(a Tamil Mantra). I could feel a coolness zip through my spine. I then fell at his feet and he said "Ayya, whatare you doing, you are son of god(deivamahan) why are u falling on my feet?" I said "You are deivam that is why" Veeramani used to work for sewage corporation and yet he did lot of shiva-sadhana. This is our Nattinperumai my friend Ravi.

ACtually it is we who are working in the sewage caleld samsara maya, not Veeramani. Amba once said to me "Idhu Siddhargal pirandhu vazhandha naddiayya"(This is the land where siddhas have been born and grew up). I have already mentioned this to you many times. How can we repay our rinas? No way, all we can do is just chant the name of Amba Amma amma amma..... Even in that film song, I can tell a Mahartha of the words and lines which Ilayaraja has composed. "En thayanum koilai kakka marandhittha paavi adi kizhiye'" --Iam a sinner who has forgot to save the temple called Mother. What is the temple. It is this body itself. We just waste our body's vital energy daily running around for material pursuits. We do not even sit back for a moment and think where are we headed?...to the burial ground? hahaha~ Ennai paarthaalum thottalum paavi adi kizhiye'---if a person sees me or touches me, it is sin. This means that the sin is formed basically through the two senses of sight and touch. Here the reference is to lust.Seeing in itself is not bad, touching in itself is not bad, neither is lust but the attachment of

ego which goes with the process of lust is what is wrong and it is highyl inseparabel for most of us and thus a karmic taint is created. Thiruvaasagam by Ilayaraja is also great. His voice can be appreciated only by Tamils or those who love the language. rest of them say his voice is not good.Infact his voice is so soulful when he sings tamil songs that it sent me crying like that in the middle of the road. Nadam has a distinct evocatory feeling of spirituality but after a certain stage Nadopasana reveals the inner sound.

A true yogi never even gets attached to songs or music and it is walways better to sing one's songs howsoever bad the voice might be than to depend on a singer or any musical gadget. If Ilayaraja sings Janani janai soulfully, it is to his benefit basically, I can get a divine feel when I hear it but cannot get an evocatory feel till I sing it, Ravi. That is why I sing. Once I had a nice experience experience singing a song for Subramanaya-skandagurunatha. I cried then too telling Amba--"Iam wretched Iam wretched...I envy Subramanya He has such a nice mother like you....." For a moment my small pegionlike heart even got angry with Lord Muruga(I know this sounds amusing) for not sharing His mother

with me! ....But Ravi there was a sweetness in that pain too. There is a pearl of happiness hidden in the oyester of sadness too. Can Muruga long like this for mother? No He cannot. With this thought I said "Please forgive me, Just an ants antics at the feet of elephants". Then I placed the guitar onnwhic I strummed some carnatic ragas. Then adorned my ears with a pair of headphones and suddenly I HEARD CLEARLY AMBA SINGING !!! Did you know what song it was!! It was from the same film Aranmanai kizhi/......"Raasaa ve unnai vidamaatten"( i clearly heard Her voice crystla clear..."I won't leave you my

raasa(Raja)" those were the lyrics of the song, there it was sung by the lady to her love but here it was a mother singing to her ant-child! My eyes were dried already crying incessantly in my room , so there were no more tears and with great effort my eyes did shed a few tears and I heard the voice say "These are precious to me" I turned around again and again to see whether I was dreaming but it was disticntly Mother's voice. Ravi keep the faith, She is not the property of srividya upasakas--what great upasana was I doing? Just singing Ilayaraja's film songs!!!

She comes my friend you should sing your heart out,cry for her--You will get Her. Bhakthi ka marg Aasu ka marg they say. The other day I was reading a book given by my friend Guatham on "The lived with God" about the people who lived with Master Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. In that I wept today reading GopalMa's devotion for Kanha., I need that sort of devotion my friend, will I get that? Reading is onthing shastras are one thing but to move with a Gurunatha and actually experiencing the grace of devi another.Shastras give just arrogance though very subtle form and which cannot be rooted out. The arrigance which we have can be easily cured because it is a bacterial infection but the arrogance which shastras give is viral in nature. It is deadly. When we sing for Mother maybe this bacterial infection will not spread and maybe it will die--what do you say my nanba? Indirayo Ival sundariyo Deivarambhaya mohiniyo Manam mundiyadho Karam mundhiyadho...! Yours Nanba, Shreeram
