Dear Amma,

 

I will give a detailed write-up on the sookthas.

 

However to chant the sooktha one must learn properly the meter

(Chandas or " Pannu " as is called in Tamil) of the Veda.

 

Women can read Vedas but there are some niyamas and it has to be

learnt from an adept.(One Example: During the days of impurity one

should not reador learn the vedas)
