I got the picture of Bala Tripura Sundari Devi from Chennai. I would like to get Upadesham(Sri Vidya Manthram) from your Guru. Do we have to call ahead of time? I have a Manasa Guru...is that enough? I would really like a Guru who can guide me in my spiritual quest. Actually my questions are the same as Sridevi's. When we go to Chennai,if Devi wills it,we could go to Guru Rajagopala Anandanatha.Is there a certain day for initiation? I would suggest a living Guru is better than Manaseeka Gurus unless one is really an advanced soul.So you may approach my Gurunathar in all humilty and get initiated into Srividya Tantra. -------- As an aside... I knew one guy from IIT Chennai who used to have a " Manaseeka Guru " and he used to boast me about it and he also derided me for not joining IIT despite me getting into the ranks.Since his rank in JEE was also higher than me his remarks were very vicious and he strated comparing his " Manaseeka Guru " with my " living guru " by ranks!! I had enough of this nonsense and kept quite because he was my best buddy, but when it comes to Guru,one should not keep quite(even Gurugeeta says this), so I said him " Ok now tell me what your Manaseeka Guru can do for you and you will see what my living guru can do! He did not know what to say and finally asked me to perform a certain feat and I performed that easily, though I never engage in such displays. He then jumped and said " I found my Moksha Guru " I asked " who? " He replied " Vera yerudaa Deigo? " (I was Deigo because I used to play football well in School and College) (Who else, Deigo?) " Rajagopala Swamy " I then asked him " Appo unnodaya Manaseeka Guru? " (Then what about your Manaseeka Guru?) He said " Avaru useless daa! Inda maari powers ennakku kadaikkum terinjirundhaa, eppavo surrender daa! " (He is useless. If I had known that such powers could be got then I would have surrendered longtime ago) I then said " So mY guru rankings are upped? " He replied " Most definitely " I then said " Ok now turn to the photo of your Manaseeka Guru and say this. " He turned to his Manaseeka Guru and said that. He then asked me to introduce him to my Gurunatha. I said " Just wait for a day " He waited for a day but that night he had sound thrashing from his Manaseeka Guru!!! I expected that and he came running to me for explanation. I gave him a big lecture! I said " Tambi! Katchi Maariya Pakshi yaa irrukka koodaathu. Teriyalenaa summa irrukannum.(Brother,Dont be a bird that changes parties! (literally translating). If you don't know keep quite) If you wanted a living Guru and approached me with humilty I would have taken right away to my Gurunatha and introduced him despite you having 100 manaseeka Gurus. You are not advanced enough spiritually. The fault lies with your success in IIT-JEE and you higher ranking in the exam than me. It made you think mentally you are superior than anyone and in this specific case me.So you were haughty, so I had to teach you a lesson and I thought let it be from your 'Manaseeka Guru'!. Moreover, you were coming to my Guru just impressed with my small feat. How do you know that I had not learnt that before meeting my Guru? How do you know whether you will get the same power after you get deeksha form my gurunathar? Fundamentally, your thinking is wrong, this is not JEE Macchi to compare people by ranking, each Guru is powerful in Himself/Herself....each guru is complete in Himself/Herself...even JEE is not an exam to compare people by rnaking--whats the big deal if I got my rnak in thousand plus and you in top hundred, I was never interested in the exam and gave it for my parents sake. If you keep jumping from one mango tree to another you will neither get the mango nor a shade from the sun. Tommorow if you see another monkey performing yet another siddhuvillayattu(Tantric miracle), then you will run to him and his guru, there is no end to this asinineness. " With that he sobered and pleaded with me to accept him as my disciple!I then said " Iam not a Guru, Iam here to learn till death. So please go to my Guru after first asking forgiveness to your Manaseeka Guru " He did accordingly and now he is a changed man. This is a true story which happened in ninties. -------------------- P.S. 'reply: Yes, my gurunathar will guide you in your spiritual path toward Devi.But do not exepct him to talk too much. He is a very tacitunr perosn. You may select an auspicious day for getting initiation but first call him and he will fix the date.
