Guest guest
Dear Sanketh, I stopped at a Brahmi tree ritual...let me continue from there. Day: On Maghashuklapakshami Trayodashi Tithi or in any month Shuklapakshami Trayodashami tithi Brahmi plant can be worshipped. Around the Brahmi tree make a small mud embankment('kuduru' antaaru telugulo) and then whilst chanting the mantra "Om Kumaara Anjanaayai Namaha", sprinkle Turmeric and ricegrains and then light an agarbatthi or dhoop sticks. Pray with the total herb consciousness of the plant and to the herb consciousness. A plant is just a physical emnation of the inner-herb. Herb means Moolika and plant means "chettu" Chettuki moolikaki teda undhi(There is a difference between chettu and moolika) The plant when plucked indiscriminately and used for medicines might just act at a physical level and hence if the patient's karma is good it will cure else it won't cure. That is why many medicine sin Kaliyuga fail because we take medicines by plucking plants enmass in factories and sluaghter trees. When we don't show compassion toward even animals or humans then will we show compassion toward plants. So the first step would be to kindle the plant's herb consicousness and then gain the plant's blessings.Only if the plant allows to take one should pluck the necessary parts gently without affecting the plant in any manner. This will be then called Moolika-oushadham. When the Moolika-oushadham is infused with Tantreeka Mantras and some extra secretive rituals it becomes an Tantreeka Oushadham.(In gopalpatnam there used to be one Oushadha tantreeka--he went to the simhachalam hills, he was called Gayathri swamilavaru. He lived for hundreds of years and went to into samadhi. Even to this day you can find his samadhi. No one knew his age. It was all because he knew the power of herbs and oushadhas. He was agreat Oushdha Tantreeka. After doing the above ritual, one should not eat anything in the evening and sleep on a small white cloth, next day when it is chaturdasi, in the morning one must again go the Brahmi which now becomes a "herb" from a mere "plant" and then say 21 times "Om Aim buddhi vrudhhyai namaha" and then gently remove with the roots the plant and then clean it with Ganga water and then must be grinded on a stone slab into a soft paste. Then take the Braahmi-rasam(essence) thus prepared and then go to a river bank or to an image of Saraswathy Devi Herself and then those who do the vratam must then chant the below mantra 108 times. Om Aim Hreem Shreem Kleem Vaagvaadinee Saraswathee Mama Jihvaagre vada vada sarvaam vidyaam dehi dehi swahaa! Then after the small japa is over one muct drink the essence of brahmi. Since the essence might be a bit strong for some, to prevent barfing(vomitting) one can drink in instalments using jaggery or sugar. After drinking this one should not drink or eat anything for three hours after that. After this small parikriya, one must chant the same mantra given above everyday for 108 times. If children cannot do this, then their parents can do this on their behalf. So when the sankalpa is made one should tell their wards names. This will give rise to "Adbhutha-medha-shakthi"(Excellent Intelligence). Future postings will concentrate on Saraswathy Panchakam,Shyamala Dandakam and Brahmi Lehyam. Om Kadambaryai Namaha! Guest guest
Dear Sir, I have written what best I know, have read from different sources(rarely quoting it but now I have decided to refernce every little information taken from some source), and heard and did experientially. " Yaam petra inbam peruga ivvayyagam " For example my first curiosity regarding herb collective awareness, consciousness and prana was kindled by Amarananda Bhairavan. I have even contacted Him and his diciple Diamond and even got an email from Him. But since He is a busy man He could reply to my further queries and thus my journey started. My dear friend Harsha Ramamurthy Avargal(we once had a small misunderstanding due to one member but now we correspond regularly by emails) in his writings once said when people were accusing him of being too shaastraic that one should view scriptures and Guru just as Medical texts and surgery. I will CUT-PASTE-COPY his words below... [Harsha] shrImAtre namaH This question is like: Can one perform a surgery without studying any books on medicine formally and by practically learning a few hints by observing a senior doctor? Alternately, can one perform a surgery by merely reading medical books without any practical guidance? Neither of these seems feasible. This analogy is exactly applicable to upAsana as well. (Reference: March 6th 2007-Rajarajeshwari Kripa message 06:10:19 PM message in reply to Rajani's query) So Shastrabalam is required and this should be supported by Upasana balam but what should one have first?...Gurubalam...then Devibalam(or Saraswathy Balam will follow). I used to go to Manali to meet an unknown siddha, he used to say to me " nammakku rende ayudham ondru -panivu(humility), erandu--thunivu (boldness).Panivaaga irundhu tunivudan seyalbadu " One ex-member said to me " Your gurunathar fell on the feet of my Gurunathar in Vizag, etc as He does not know any shastras " (I dont know how far this story is true)...This is not the spirit of serving a Guru by making comparisions. I support my Guru and proclaim His greatness but that does not mean other Gurus are useless. A guru does not become a Guru by Shastraic knowledge. He does not become a Guru even by mere vision of the deity. Then what makes a Guru a Guru? There are many things written in many shastras(Kularnava Tantram,Gandharva Tantram, etc)regarding the qualifications of a Guru, but accoridng to me, it is something ordained by One's Karma (Swakaramane') and Deity's Will(Sankalpam). Why do I take this opportunity to explain about my Guru and Gurutwam? It is because whatever little I possess is because of Him.Tommorow if he says to me " Madaya! nee edhuvum ezhudhavendaam summa irundhaa podum " -I will simply keep quite. Sarvam Gurumayam Jagath! This is the final siddhantha! Shreeram Balijepalli Rajarajeshwari_Kalpataru , " DR.
