Tantra Yoga - A Shaman's True Story of Initiation

from the book: Kali's Odiyya: A Shaman's True Story of Initiationby Amarananda Bhairavan

I felt my face flush hot with embarrassment. I walked in silence behind Aunt Preema as she led me to Sandhya. I was glad it was night and our faces were hidden in the darkness. My aunt felt our discomfort. For, when we were all together she said, "There are periods in everyone's life when major shifts in karma occur. The time of sexual maturity is one such. It is neither good nor bad. But how these feelings are acted out can affect the community. Our society manages it through marriage."Human sexuality, channeled through marriage, provides a safe outlet for awakening karmas. Therefore marriage is an evolutionary necessity for people within communities." Aunt Preema exuded an aura of deep compassion as she wrapped her arms around our waists. With Sandhya on her right and me on her left, she herded us toward the family pond."Marriage provides a sanctuary for the exchange of love between two," she discoursed as we approached the fringes of the pond.A pale quarter moon cast a fleeting sheen over the pond as clouds moved in and out of its path. From our homestead behind us rose the clang and clatter of vessels and the accompanying chatter that marked the close of our communal supper. On one hand, a great shame weighed upon my heart, but on the other I felt an exhilarating attraction for Sandhya, whose hand I felt upon my elbow. Even as my aunt counseled us, I wondered how Sandhya felt now. I hoped that she would still be a friend to me. She must still be! Why else would she touch my arm? Then my aunt turned to me saying, "The sense of touch is the primal sense." She startled me with this statement - it was as if she sensed my body language. "Let me talk to you about touch. Touch is the principle conduit for sexual love. The tactile sense embodies within it the potentiality to express the rest of the four senses. They evolved out of the sense of touch. Of these four, three became complex, specialized, and drifted away from the sense of touch. Their specialization narrowed their capacity to experience. Thus smell, hearing, and sight became the most complex but less holistic. Moreover, these complex senses alienated themselves from the object of perception, while the more primitive senses of taste and touch experienced direct contact with the object of experience. Touch and taste provide a first-hand experience of an object, while the complex senses provide a somewhat vicarious one. For example, with sight and hearing you cannot `feel' the object intimately as with touch and taste," she explained. The three of us edged down the sandy banks of the pond. About halfway down, we stopped on a coconut palm trunk staked into the bank. My uncles put similar trunks on these slopes to catch the eroding sand."Let's sit here," motioned my aunt. "The sense of touch is a link between two realms, the outer and the inner realms," she continued. This sense is intimately connected to sensual feelings of pleasure, as well as to sublime emotions like bliss and intuition.""Is pleasure from sexual feeling a base emotion, Aunt?" I asked in cracked voice. I anxiously hoped it to be a higher emotion. "Sexual feeling, if rooted in love is a sublime emotion," explained Aunt Preema smiling. "Then it will lead to bliss and a state of expansion of the spirit. When the spirit expands, the astral bodies reach out to each other seeking astral union. The karmic sheath of both loosens allowing the dream minds to permeate each other's being." A bullfrog croaked in the waters below, calling out to its mate. Instinctively, I picked up a small pebble. But Sandhya gripped my wrist and gently shook the pebble out of my hand. "It is therefore no wonder that the sense of touch is the chosen conduit for the exchange of love between two spirits," continued my aunt. "Sight and hearing can at best only orchestrate the symphony of love expressed through touch," she added. "I agree, Mother. I heard nothing and saw nothing. I felt as if my body was sizzling with light," said Sandhya with a muffled giggle."Yes, Aunt, that is true. Her touch consumed all my awareness!""Touch and feeling are inseparable. Yes, touch can consume all awareness," agreed Aunt Preema. "There is nothing like good sex to prod the divine Kundalini awake," said my aunt mirthfully, giving my back a playful slap. "Feeling is an intuitive emotion; it is comprehensive. Just as we feel through the skin, through all of our body, intuition is feeling through our astral being. Feeling is fuzzy. When we feel, we learn and know through our higher conscious mind. This transcends the limitations placed by the logic-bound physical conscious mind. The complex senses work more through the physical or logical mind.""But beautiful melodies and chanting can draw the spirit into a state of bliss? And the sight of my beautiful Sandhya draws my mind to abstraction…." I argued. Sandhya interrupted my argument by giving a resounding whack on my back with feigned disdain. "Good, good," said Aunt Preema approvingly. "Now he is getting bold," she added with a mischievous grin."In this case, aren't the complex senses hitched to the higher conscious mind?" I questioned."Normally, hearing and sight are directly involved with conscious processes. But as I said earlier, these complex senses evolved out of the sense of touch. It would not be far-fetched to consider these senses accessing the higher conscious mind, provided the stimulus impinging upon these is sublime enough - Sandhya's body, for example," said Aunt Preema with a poke in my ribs."Sexual bliss is a comprehensive experience. During these moments, there is a complete transcendence from the grip of the logical senses, a time when the dream mind manifests. This is when the energy of physical awareness is absorbed to strengthen this higher mind. Here the awakening ritual is a great help and is important to a sincere devotee of the supreme goddess."This ritual and the subsequent practices enable a person to realize the androgyny of the astral self. Realizing this at an early age helps the devotee to manifest the correct attitude when engaged in sex in later years. It is only this experience that can provide true humility, for if you know that you are indeed sexless, then how can there be a sense of sexism or feminism?" my aunt elaborated. "What is the correct attitude, Mother?Utmost, worshipful humility toward each other, dear. That is the only way sex can be used to awaken the divine Kundalini. Used any other way, sex will only power the base emotions, giving the dark forces a foothold," answered my aunt.

Medieval Europe Alchemy Esotheric thought was considered at point

Heresy for it claimed to turn stone into Gold (certainly we are

talking about transforming energies ), I believe Gold is Light Prana

once we turn this energy into Divinity our Body becomes alive until

then soul is in a coffin like state as Osiris trapped by this

amazingly properly measured coffin designed by Set (God of deviant

Sexuality amorality ) . This is Egyptian Mythology however its about

transformation of the energy true Alchemy of Soul. Thank You for the

post .
