Guest guest
Dear Sriramji, I am an avid reader of our for last couple of years. This group gives a lots of very good information. I am blessed to get the initiation from our Swamiji of Nanganallur temple a couple of years before (inspired by this group). From then on I have been regularly practising. I visit our temple atleast once a week /once in two weeks and I consider every visit as a gift from Ammavaru. I should frankly admit that this regular practice and visits to temple had a very good and a positive impact on my life. But even then sometimes I have few child like doubts (you might laugh at it and think that I don't believe in her, but I am sincere here while asking these questions). 1. From the time I saw the movie named " Lage raho munna bhai " , I got this doubt. If you know in this movie, Sanjay dutt will be able to see and talk to Gandhiji. Finally doctors analyze and conclude that this is due to some chemical imbalances in Brain and its his brain which gives such virtual imaginary image. Now my doubt is, when we do sadhana are there any chances of getting such chemical imbalances and see Ambas visions ?. This made me think that people who get visions of Amba is it because of such chemical imbalances in Brain ?. I understand that god is there, but are such visions really true ?. Please do not mistake me as this is my sincere question / doubt, kindly clarify. 2. I got this question when my friend told that his father got Swapna-upadesham from Balambika (lady with a blue saree in dream) during his younger days and had been doing the mantra. Now his father is old and very very sick too (lots of complications). My friend says that many a times he has seen his father talking to someone from his bed, but no one would present there. I thought that this has got something to do with his health only (same chemical imbalance). Can one see Amba so easily...? Again this too is my sincere question / doubt, kindly clarify. 3. I believe in supreme power. But how does Ambal really look like ?. Is she really in human form, as explained in Lalitha Sahasranamam ?. Are all the Tithi-nithya devi's and other devi avatharams really present (or) are they some different spiritual symbols of the same god which is imagined and given by humans?. This further gives me questions like, if these are imaginary symbols given by humans then what about Bhandasura vadham, Mahisasura vadham etc etc. Again, this too is my sincere doubt, kindly clarify. My questions might look bit contradictory, because on one hand I say that I believe in god and the other hand I question them too ?. Kindly clarify. With Warm regards, Sridhar. Guru is a must too.If you understand God truly then such questions won't emnate. These questions comes form your mind, which plays around. > > 2. It might be very well possible that he is talking to the deity. Do not discount everything as chemical imbalance based on one mundane film.Amba's vision is Her will and your sadhanic effort. Yes, it is possible to see Her. > > 3. I believe in supreme power. But how does Ambal really look > like ?. Is she really in human form, as explained in Lalitha > Sahasranamam ?. Yes, She has an anthropomological form. These are not imagined things and symbolisms given. Then you can create your own deities and symbols why at all go to the temple? Some scholars try to show their vaak-chaturyam by saying " Bhandasura " refers to the ego-component and this is being killed by Amba. It is beautiful to hear such things and also very esoteric. But the fact remains that Bhandasura type of demons did exist. Not everything is symbolic. > > My questions might look bit contradictory, because on one hand I say > that I believe in god and the other hand I question them too ?. > Kindly clarify. > > With Warm regards, > Sridhar. >
Guest guest
Thanks a lot Sriramji for all your clarifications. I take your point, if one truly understands and surrenders to god then such questions won't arise at all. Best regards, Sridhar.
