Pls tell me the right pronunciation of EARTH (in sanskrit/ sanskrut). Is it PRUTHVI or PRITHVI ?

Also tell me same about YAJNA. Is it YAGYA or YAJNYA or YAJNA ?

I am also having confusion about vowel ( maatraa) of 'AM' . This is generaly shown by one point over letters. But some people (sometimes/ somewhere) pronounce it as 'AN'.

Pls guide.

1.Pruthvi is correct.

2.Yagnya(Yag as in " egg " but without the mahaprana(or stress on " e " too

much, -n-(as in the english word " in " ), ya as in ( " yaar " of colloquial

Hindi which means friend)

" Yag-n-Yaa "

" An " is wrong but some use it for sabr-mantras.

" Am " is correct.
