Guest guest
Yes, Gayatri mantra's explicit form ('Prakata') is what we commonly know and Chatushtayam actually means a fourth pada in addition to what we generally know. The fourth Pada as in: " Paro....Savadhom " This when added to Tri-pada Gayatri Mantra becomes ''Prakata Gayatri- Chatushtayam " The fourth Pada finds a mention in Asya Vamasya Suktham of Rigveda.Initiation into the full mantra is necessary for proper results. There is a connection to this 4th mantra and Srividya also but this must be known from a proper Srividya adept.(I use the word 'proper' because some elements have crept into this path who are either arrogant about their knowledge of Srividya texts or who build a temple and seek popularity by being totally lax about the rules. They would never form part of the sacred Srividya lore howsoever beautiful or divine they might look on the exterior.) Yours Yogically, Shreeram Balijepalli Srividya-Tantra , " kotaruraghu " <kotaruraghu wrote: > > Is gayatri manthra is also called prakata gayatri chetustayam? please > clarify my dought. >
