Guest guest
Dear anna found this article and wanted to share it.please share with us anything that u know on this subject.Historically people had an almost symbiotic relationship with the Earth, as a living, sacred source of vitality. We have revered specialsites that we feel are conducive to our physical, mental and spiritual revitalization. We build shrines at these sites to focus our attentionand cherish them as repositories of a special energy.Bhagavan Ramana walked on the sacred Hill of Arunachala each day and spent many hours gazing at its craggy aspect. The Hill had aspecial and powerful role in His life. He also said that Arunachala is Siva Himself personified. Bhagavan had said Major Chadwick that Arunachala was at the top of spiritual axis of the world. There mustbe another mountain corresponding to Arunachala at exactly opposite side of the globe. Bhagavan Ramana also fetched an atlas once and asked him to see the place. Chadwick found that at the exact place there was only an ocean about a hundred miles off the coast of Peru in South America. Bhagavan seemed doubtful about this. An Englishman some years after Bhagavan's Maha Nirvana, mentioned about a tale of a spot, supposed to be a great secret power centre in the Andes somewhere in this latitude. In fact, a spiritual centre had been started there, in Andes in Eucador. Mrs. Lucia Osborne also discussed this matter with Major Chadwick. Later in 2000, Dr. Ravi Iyer of Virgina made some investigationinto the connection between Arunachala and Machu Picchu, the ancient sacred mountain in Peru. He has written about it in The Maharshi, March-April 2003.Machu Picchu is the closest known power spot that resonates great spiritual power. This site consists of an outer and inner section. Asmall gateway takes you to the religious sanctuary of Acclas or Chosen Women of Sun God Inti. About 170 burial sites have been been found at Machu Picchu, of which 150 were women's. The city represents the immense mysteries of Inca civilization. There are striking parallels between the Machu Picchu site and the Sakti culture. The goddess referred to here is Pacchamma, a similarity to Pachai Amman Temple of Tiruvannamalai. Several siddhis and occult capacities have been separately asserted, on the psychic plane, on visiting Machu Picchu. The feminine aspect of the Universe is especially palpable. While the geographical coordinates are not exactly opposite to those of Arunachala, it would unreasonable to be exactly opposite, since the earth is not a precise sphere. The URL to the astrodienst website for latitude and longitudinal determination is http://www.astro.com/aq.cgi?lang=eThe global coordinates of Tiruvannamalai and Machu Picchu are:Tiruvannamalai : 12n13,79e04Machu Picchu: 13s07,72w34The following website will give the precise reverse coordinates ofTiruvannamalai.http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/vlaton.html. This site gives you a earth view of satellite from 10km height.Regarding further information about Machu Pichu, check out:Machu Picchu http://www.sacredsites.com/2nd56/21422,html"Machu Picchu, Crown Jewel in the Clouds."http://www.he.net/-mine/inca/.
