Frank Martin ! This rule of non-Hindus is mainly in the larger temples, which are tourist oriented. What you say about the priests is true. This problem of priests and middlemen is faced by all of us. I almost got beaten up in MAA KAALI temple in Kalighat, Calcutta for refusing to give Dhakshina. But I have learnt that a firm " NO. I do not need your services " solves the problem. I visit the temple at Kalighat regularly now without paying any Dhakshina to the priests or middlemen. Dirk Gysels ! Please let me know when you are visiting Tamil Nadu and your programme. I will be happy to arrange for the visits to the temples. I am based in Madras. We won't spend too much time in Chennai, since we will visit also some ashrams. What is your opinion on Shiva Shankar Baba? Is he worthwhile visitng and if so: where to find him.
