Guest guest
Dearest Om_Lalithambal, I hope you are doing well. I first wrote you this response on the " Ambaa-L " email list until i realised that you are, indeed, here on the " Shakthafamily " email list. Anyhoo, i just wanted to express my deepest and most heartfelt thanks for sharing with us such prayers as the Narayani Stuti or the Sri Durga Chalisa here on the ShakthaFamily list. I especially want to thank you for providing such beautifull english translations of these prayers. I myself am a NRI born and raised in Michigan... i therefore have never had an opportunity to learn sanskrit. As many of the prayers on this and other Devi-bhaktha email lists are written in Sanskrit, i often find myself in the sad position of not being able to appreciate the meanings of, or concepts embedded in, such hymns. As a result i sometimes (i must confess) feel a bit ostracised from the tradition. Yet thanks to you and others like you, english-speaking Devi-bhakthas like myself have the opportunity to participate in the wonder and awe our spiritual ancestors felt when addressing the Devi... for this i would like to offer you my most sincere and deepest thanks. May the Great Mother Visvarupini bless and keep you always, and thanks again. Let us all pray for the Peace and blessed sister/brotherhood our world so desperately needs! may the poor and hungry be fed and sheltered, and may those trapped in the awefull heat of war and violence know sweet peace. Guest guest
BENIFITS OF VETA VELI DHYANAM By SWAMY OMKARANANDA-HEAD-ONGARAASHRAMAM-PONDICHERRY HOME PAGE- http://www.geocities.com/ongaraashramam The open space gives to the inner self to move in this world happily. This is true for all living beings. All living beings, other than the human are all born in the open space. They live in the open air or space and they die in the open air or space.Their diseases and illness never affects them as it does the humans. They never need to go to the medical practitionar nor do they have to take costly antibiotics.ahuman is supposed to live for 120 years. The sathabhishekam which is actually to be celebrated at the age of 100 years is being celebrated at the age of 80 due to fear of death. But almost all the other than the humans live their full life span. The human being is the lord of death(YAMA)for all the other living beings. All living beings hence hate mankind. If a donkey is expected to live its life span of 14 years it lives through it.Only 25% of them die because of some illness or naturalcalamity etc. Open space does improve the life span. The heart gets strengthened.A fat body becomes lean and strong. The mental alertness improves and power will be acquired even in Silence. The ability to think will improve in OPEN SPACE.we can get rid of greed and falsehood. The nervous and other systems get strengthened in the OPEN SPACE as do the nerves in the back of the legs. The two nadis on the forehead,on either side of the head, known as UYIR nadi get strenghtened. The ability to counter illness will improve.Curses and magic powers will not affect them.Divine grace will be bestowed. One should prastise meditation to understand thes benefits.
