I was wondering if anybody could let me know what physical symptoms

does a sadhaka experience during tantric saadhanaa or meditation??

Does body itching in particular have any significance??

Any comments?

Following physical symptoms are commonly experienced

during meditation as sadhaka progresses:

i. Reduced breathing rate. Normal rate of 12-15 per

minute drops down to very low. 2.5 minutes for one

breathing cycle (Inhale+exhale) is what has been

experienced within 2 months of daily 20 min.

meditation practice.

ii. Cramps, if one is sitting in padmasana. Can be

reduced by taking a light pillow under the hips.

iii. Itching near nostrils, oinching sensation on some

body parts.

iv. Joint pain if meditation is continued for a long

time without stage by stage progress; can be reduced

by using 'Vat' mudra.

v. Lightness of the body/feeling of floating in air

etc. are the experiences after advanced state is

achieved.
