Refrain: Message for Nasre, Anamika, Salgoankar etc.

Dear friends

 

I have read all the messages in the last few days, someone deriding India and

someone deriding Kerala, someone deriding Hinduism and someone else deriding

other religions, for all sort of things.

 

I am an Indian by virtue of being a Keralite (or malayalee), am not ashamed of

being either. I am a proud Indian and a proud Malayalee and am grateful to Maa

(Devi) for creating me in this form.

 

I can answer to all the points raised here point by point which can run into a

big volume of book, but this forum is not meant for it.

 

Four of the cardinal principles of life are:-

 

a. Remain focussed of what is your aim. In this case it is Bhakti of maa and

through that creating a better society.

 

b. Second principle is be tolerant to others views, so that a society with many

diverse language , culture and beliefs will remain united for a common cause

even while each individual retaining his or her identity.

 

c. Third principle is not to run down your own self(in this case read it as your

own country, state, family belief etc.). After all, if you smell your own tooth

pick it may have a bad odour and we don't carry it sky high proclaiming it to

the world, but we about showing and highlighting the positive side of our

personality.

 

d. The forth principle is to think, see and value good things or virtues about

our religion, country, state, district ,family etc: knowing fully well that

others have more problems in some or other way. Highlight those good things to

the world which will earn us a pride of place in this enormously competitive

world.

 

I don't intend to sermonise but thought of writing this much, with my years of

experience around the world and deep commitment to Maa's Bhakti.

Can all relevant members refrain from posting political views in this

newsgroup. Nasre, you are quite aware there are other groups for you to post

your thoughts and as a matter of fact you have posted the same message in other

Hindu newsgroups which have nothing to do with politics.

 

If you need clarification, this is a group for worshippers of Maa and the Maa

here is Maa Durga Maa Shakti and has nothing to do with Mother India.

 

For the rest of you, please use your discretion and judgement and do not fall

bait to flares ignited by people like Nasre. He is simply posting the same

message in different newsgroups and assisting in digressing from discussions

going on there.

 

I do agree that when someone posts thus it does stir emotions (like Anamika's)

and rightly so! However let us maintain perspective.

 

Stop turning this haven into another battleground for Maa's sake and take your

national squabbles elsewhere.

 

Finally, Anamika, you must be more sensitive to other members in this group

what you have said, quoted below is truly offensive to other non-Indian or

Muslim members of this group.

Bosnia or Somalia. We are a world power and a small island like

Britain cannot send its troops here.You know Why? Because we are a

nuclear power. We got the Nuclear Bombs to defend our country. If

that action posed problems in getting Visa to U.S we do not care.

Frankly it is Hindus like you who are doing the greatest disservice

to India and Hinduism by such talk. You do not like BJP ruling India.

You would rather have a secular party like Muslim League ruling India.'
