Guest guest
Dear S V Saikumar You had asked this question: " Is there a rule that I shall have to use only a coconut that has fibres and husk on it for putting on a " kalasam " or can I use a one that has no fibres and husk and that is easily available in many grocery stores. " Now I am no pandit, but I've seen examples of both types of coconut being used atop the kalasha. In the case of the one without any husk or fibres, it is placed on the mouth of the kalasha (which has mango leaves on it) with the three " eyes " facing down and the pointed part facing upwards.
