A Question Regarding Variant Puja Mantras

Dearest Family,

I have had an idea and I want to know if it is all right. Let me explain:

Normally during puja I use the " simple " mantra of " Om Kaalyai namah " before the

mantras for offering the various upacharas.

Now I am very happy with this method, but for special occasions, or for those

times when I would like the puja to last for a longer time, I was wondering if

it would be all right if instead of my usual " Om Kaalyai namah " , I could use

one of those beautiful mantras that start with: " Yaa Devi

sarvabhuteshu........ " and finish with: " ......namastasyai, namastasyai, namo

namaha " .? Is this something that it is proper for one to do?

Another idea is that one could use these mantras to pray for different things.

For example, one could use the mantra that has: " ......shanti ruupena..... " to

pray for peace; or: " ......matri ruupena...... " if one's mother were in some

difficulty.

Does anyone approve of these ideas?

Jai Maa Kaali,

Loladas
