Guest guest
Regarding shatipeethams. Of the 18 peethams, four are in andhra pradesh. one is in Pithapuram, on the main line between Chennai and Howrah. Some trains stop at Pithapuram itself, while others stop at Samarlakota and one can travel from there as it is not very far. Here Ma's seat portion has fallen. Here she is called Puruhuthika devi. And is called PadaGaya, as the feet of Gayasura have fallen here. She resides in Kukkuteswara swamy (Shiva in the form of a kock )temple here. this is 10th peetham. One more Shathipeetham is in Draksharamam where the actual Dakhsa Yagnam took place as per sthalapuranam. Here Ma is called Manikyamba. It is also a Shiva Aramam and a main Shiva sthalam. One has to get down at Rajahmundry on the main Chennai Howrah line to travel here. One can also go to Pithapuram here. The third Peetham is in Srisailam where she is in the form of BRAMARAMBIKA. It is one of the Jyotirlingas. One can travel from Vijayawada or Hyderabad to this place. (there is also a temple in hyderabad where we can see two forms of Shaktipeethams at one place, Mahankali and Manikyamba. This temple is called Ujjaini Mahankali Temple and is nearly 200 years old and very famous. It is near Secunderabad railway station, and one can easily go there. The exact location is called general bazaar. She is very powerful here and well loving). One more Shaktipeetham in A.P. is in Alampur near Mahabubnagar. She is called Jogulamba here. One can travel from Vijayawada or Hyderabad, and can combine Srisailam and Alampur in one trip. Here Navbrahma temples are also there. there is one Shakthipeetham in Orissa near Jajipur Railway station on main Chennai Howrah railway line. Here as per the Stotram she is to be called Girija devi but is called different at present. She is Chamundi of Mysore near Bangalore and well connected by trains. and Mahalakshmi of Kolhapur in Maharashtra also well connected by trains. Ujjain She is Mahankali. Ujjain is in madhya pradesh. Here is Mahakal's temple. this place is also well connected by trains. She is Manasadevi of Hardwar, Allahabad, Madhaveshwari Devi Gaya she is Mangalya Gowri Kashi she is Visalkshi and kashmir she is Saraswathi. She is in the form of Shankari Devi in Sri Lanka in Trincomalee district. I Kanchi she is Kamakshi. The other peethams are PRADHYUMNAM, SHRUNKHAKALADEVI, MAHUR IN GUJARAT, EKAVIRIKA. In JWALA she is Vaishnavi Devi. Hope this info is of help. I have so far visited three and found the energies very good besides the temple in Secunderabad where in the power is equally high. In the temple at pitha puram all the above temples with present names are mentioned. regards
