Guest guest
Namaste Qiya, Welcome to our group. To be very honest, I am also new to this group and this is the first mail that I am writing here. Well I am not sure what is meant by Sri Vidya Mandirs, but if you want have an experience of the Shaktism prevalent in India, I would suggest you to visit the Kamakhya Temple which is in Assam. It's very close to Guwahati (the state capital) and is connected to New Delhi by air-route. Regards Shantanu

Infact I am currently doing a Google search on the subject ... but what I understand is that it is part of Tantra. Well, you are right, in this area a Guru, no, a genuine Guru is needed to progress in Sadhana. I am also in Tantra, of the Kamakhya school (hence a Shakta), though I haven't received the main Deeksha (the " Kaula Deeksha " ) which officially takes you into the Tantra fold. However, I have been initiated by my Guru 5 years back and I am quite into it. I'll try my best to help you if needed and please feel free to ask anything about India and the Hindu Dharma.
