Guest guest
There is no qualification required for praying to MAA. Lalitha Sahasranamam is a Stotra and there is no restriction on the recital. My Guru once told me that if you want a recite a mantra and do not have anyone to initiate, write it on a piece of paper, place it before MAA and start. MAA is the ultimate Guru. If you desire to recite a Mantra sincerely, that means that MAA wants you to do it. But if you want to recite a Mantra for a particular benefit. then you need guidance. There are many ways of worshipping MAA. In Bhakthi we call it Bhavas. What Sri Ramakrishna emphasized was the Matru Bhava where you consider her as your mother. So no restrictions of any kind. But there are others who consider MAA as the Empress of the Universe. You are aware that there are lot of restrictions in meting a King. There are protocols to be observed and you have to proceed through the proper channel. Again the King would punish you for any transgression. Similarly with this Bhava there are many restrictions and you need proper guidance. As for me, MAA RajaRajeswari is my mother. I think of her like my human mother except that unlike my human mother MAA RajaRajeswari has only Karuna and Daya. MAA is called Stotra Priyaayai and Sthudhi Priyaayai. Please this page about Lalitha Sahasranamam http://www.amritapuri.org/cultural/mantra/lalita.php Jai MAA.
Guest guest
I agree with you fully. Lalitha Sahasranamam is considered a mantra. It is also considered very secret. However, in Kaliyuga, there is no resriction on reciting it. A more important point is that nobody is an absolute believer. We believe in Lalitha at the pooja room. When we face the world outside, we act as per our whim. If one can always feel Her Presence by one side all the time and act ones life accordingly, one can be a true bhaktha and life is a continuous joy. Practising it is very difficult. But it is ambrosia all the way. Your acts & words become Puja. balaravi Sankar Viswanathan <sankarrukku wrote: There is no qualification required for praying to MAA.
