Guest guest
I recently visited a temple in South India associated with my Gurus. I spent two entire days in the temple premises. On the second day I was doing Sashtanga Namaskaram in front of the Samadhi of my Parameshti Guru. A young man who was sitting there told me that this is not the proper way to do Namaskaram and I should do it facing south or east or whatever. I was annoyed by this. I do not blame the young man. This is what he has been taught by his Guru or he has learnt it from one of the popular magazines dealing with religious and spiritual matters. These magazines come with any number of rules and procedures for praying to God. We are Bhakthas and Bhakthi has no Rules. You pray to MAA and do Namaskar in whatever way is convenient to you. What is important is the BHAKTHI and not rituals. MAA will be pleased and Bless you. Our Puranas are full of stories about the different ways of Bhakthas. And if you see a Bhaktha doing something which according to you is wrong, please please keep quiet. You should not come between the Bahaktha and God. Who are we to decide what will please God and what will not. Remember Bhakthi Marga has NO RULES. Jai MAA !!!
