Guest guest
Hi, One of the most important peetams is in Assam and in Bengal where visited personally. In assam pls go to Gauhwati from there its very close drive to KHAMAKYA Temple. If you go there pls ask of Pandit Delip who is also the temple priest and my guru who lives behind the temple. In here all the Dasa maha vidiya is present. They also have there own temples around the main temple. Pls try to stay at least 2 nights around the temple or bellow the hill so that you could experience many things. You must visit all the maha vidya temples not forgetting Bhairavi. Dhumawati and Chinnamasta caves they are amazing and if you go with a truthful heart, believe me they will welcome you in amazing ways. I just thought these are small cave temples but oh no no no noway they really came alive and my hats off to Khamakya. Pls bring along red cotton sari's as gifts for dasamahavidyas from where ever u coming or else u may face problems to get it there. If you dont have much money just go there she will welcome you with all your heart. Kumari puja is also considered as one of the upmost pooja because Kamakya Devi is TRIPURASUNDARI, so Kamakhya from skys looks like Sriyantra she is seated in the centre with all the other mahvidyas surronding her. Fish and pigions are offered to her as a form of workship. (Now there is also an other Parwati temple in Kerala which the belief is its has the same power as Khamakya. This place is called Chenganoor Parwathi Temple which is actually a Maha Shiva Temple, but the idol of MA is considered as still livinging it means mother is living not dead because the idol has its menstuation period as Khamakhya one in a year.) Now from there go to Bengal - Calcutta, from there book a ticket to RAMPURHUT, there is a train which leaves very early morning to Rampurhut, once you reach there take a three wheel to TARA PEETH its a pleasant 1 hour drive, you may pass by beautiful country sides. Here also pls plan to stay at least 2 nights. Oh god what a fabulous temple of Ma Tara its so wonderful. There are many small hotels . When you are going into Tara Ma's temple look out for a pond on the left, its a wonderful with lot of history i tried taking a dip but the no one does it but at least respect the pond by touching its water on you fore head then before you reach the temple look out for the small ashram built for Guru Bama kepa, also remember that its built right on the burial grounds. That means behind it is the samshan which you should visit at night to meet up with sadhus and you could also perform hom there for yourself and your loved ones. Now when u enter the temple you may witness many things by yourself. If you need help as for Babu pandit who is the temples main priest. He is the main person there when i went now i hope he is still there. For those who read this mail and to those who visit this temple, dear friends pls let me share with you one very important thing my job is to share but you may have to work for this...pls request them to show you MOTHER'S ASLI RUP. I dint know you may stand a chance but if you see this you are lucky this is her real stone figure a Lady holding a baby in her lap but the head is not so visible. Also there is a very old Kali temple less than 2 km pals visit on this same Gail there is one small photo shop where he also sell mothers and sadhu pictures he has a very good old collection. You may also witness bodies being burned in the opposite samshan. Jayasankar. (Sorry if there is any spelling mistake in the Indian words). With Best Regards, J Jayasankar
