Guest guest
Oddly, I don't find devotees of Ma sluggish! But, I don't know where the " here " is that the writer refers to--USA? Baharat? Elsewhere in the world? What I do know is that devotees of Divine Mother are a small group, relatively speaking. She is easy to relate to as Mother, but as Lord it is not so easy for many. As the driving force behind creation, She is even harder to approach for most of us struggling humans. Is it that we have a hard time with a " woman " in charge? So there are not many of us, but we know that Her energy flows through us eternally. Come to the Kali Mandir in Laguna Beach California for the annual Kali Puja to see Ma's devotees filling the hall with shakti!!! Jai Ma! be well, felice lots of people want to ride with you in the limo. but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down. --oprah winfrey
Guest guest
As devotees they are not sluggish. But as group members who are asked to keep their performance non stop, they are sluggish (maybe). Silence periodically is nice. People should be allowed to be quiet. It is a nice quality. As for 'woman in charge'...a mother is a mother. She is genderless, attributeless. A child thinks of mother as a cocoon of love and shelter. Where does gender come in?! I recall when my son was 4 and I was taking him for a play. We got soaking wet on the way to the theatre and I said, 'Let's go back, I look so terrible...etc' And he said, 'You are just mother, you don't have to look good, ...' When we see Ma as mother, we stop seeing; we just 'be'...Ma is an experience, not an object outside us. Om Meera
Guest guest
I agree with meera that her devotees not sluggish As for 'Women Incharge' I would say that God that is base of all this universe and life took the form of women or Maa just to shower all her / his love on all her / his devotees. See as a God he / she has to do justice to all human beings but as a mother she ignores our mistakes / sins and shower all her love on us. She does not do justice by punishing us for our sins rather she ignores our sins and shower all her love.... As a mother she is ready to break rules for betterment of her children. She excuses all our sins if we accept ourselves as her children and her as our mother. Jai Mata Di Rajiv Bahl , meera seth <mycoach99 wrote: > > As devotees they are not sluggish. Guest guest
I don't think any devotee of Amma or whoever are sluggish. The sluggishness only comes in when answering to the group. As for woman in charge .... i shall not agree at all. God is beyond gender and form. We are blessed to be feeling the presence of God in our Devi's form. In her we see everything. A mother, daughter, sister, friend, lover, wife, teacher, guardian and God. Isn't it most wonderful to find all that we want from one? And that is what we have here. Devi watching over all of us. She maybe soft as Uma, she may be ferocious as Chandi, she may be attractive as Shodashi but she is our mother. And a mother will always be a mother! With sincerity and true bhakti she will always be with us, engulfing us with her endless love. I've felt her presence always in my darkest hours so i know that bhakti is the only way to Amma. Guest guest
True, whoever is a real devotee of shakti is not sluggish. Because Sakthi is movement, it is moving towards greater understanding, compassion and realization. , " malar1310 " <malar1310 wrote: > > I don't think any devotee of Amma or whoever are sluggish. Guest guest
Namaste to all the Family! I'm so happy that my comment about " a woman in charge " has proven my opinion that we are not sluggish at all. In fact, we have very strong feelings of devotion that bring our energy to the fore. Of course, the Divine has no gender. And yet, we worship Her, adore Her, beseech Her and recieve Her blessings, Her guidance and Her grace. I do find it interesting that the responses have been reactions to that one phrase in my email. There were other meaningful words that garnered no responses. Why are we so fearful of the feminine? This is a question for all of us to contemplate.
