Guest guest
Can anyone please comment on the use of the Divine name " Shakthi " alone as a form of nama japam. I realize that there are standard Shakthi nama mantras such as " Om Shakti " , " Om Parashakthi Namah " , etc.. However, is anyone aware of the Divine name " Shakthi " being used alone and in itself for nama japa to continuously chant " Shakthi Shakthi Shakthi Shakthi... " (similar to how the Divine name " Rama " is used in chanting " Rama Rama Rama Rama... " ). I do not believe that there would be any restrictions or contraindications to such a practice. My understanding of nama japam is that any divine name closest to one's heart can be chanted solely by itself (such as " Shakthi Shakthi Shakthi Shakthi...) or incorporated into a nama mantra (such as " Om Shakthi " , " Om Parashakthi Namah, " Om Sri Shaktyai Namah " , etc.). Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
