Guest guest
Dear Friends: I have been watching with dismay a certain touchiness in our group. I am not very learned but with my little experience working with various nationalities I feel a few words will not be out of place. 1. We all come from different backgrounds where the usages of words(same words) give different meanings. 2. Similarly we all have our unique personalities. Some things sets us off. some people say I am the sweetest thing possible, others say that I am arrogant and uncaring, and many many things in between. But whatever one is just like the blindmen who went to see an elephant. The real YOU cannot be seen or understood on the net even after long long interaction. 3. There are many paramparas (lineages) of Sri Vidya upasakas. Each has its specialities. But then it all leads to the same place. Also it is important to note that each lineage says it is the BEST or the most superior. This is a natural tool used in India to emphasise the importance of the system. At the higher level there really is no conflict. But upasakas stress on this and at times it leads to conflict. This is unnecessary. 4. I have had the great fortune to meet Amritanandaji - I belong to an entirely different lineage -but I LOVE respect and regard him as a Senior fatherly figure. 5. Since I do not consider me worthy of guruhood, whenever I have come accross worthy seekers I have sent them to Amritanandaji for guidence. I have had no difficulties with that.5. I have also met many many upasakas and Gurus and have never felt any conflict. When their teachings differ my Gurus I say " that too maybe correct, but my Guru said this way so I just follow that. " 6. Shakti sadhana is the cauldron where all these different systems are thrown in and those who dive in and get what really suits them we feel gratified. 7. We are all brothers and sisters who should love each other in thought word and deed. May Lalita Parameswari bring it to pass. Park yourself in front of a world of choices in alternative vehicles. Guest guest
OM SRI SAI RAM Respected Sadhakas, Silently I have been following the net mudslingling going on for some time. At the most apropriate time Sri Sankara Menonji gave a most fitting & balanced reply, giving a glimpse in his exalted realized status as a Devi devotee. As he has rightly stated, paths are many the final goal is the same,It is like reaching the summit of Mount Everest either from the Indian,Nepal or Chinese side. So many parmaparas in Sri Vidya have come to exist obviously at the express will of Ma,to suit all kinds of temperaments. I feel none of us have any right to criticise a path unless one himself has traversed the same & found it to be faulty.I hope Sri Menonji's sagely counsel will prevail on one & all and peace will reign in the SS site.I am one of the lucky ones who have heard Menonji state that Guru Amritaji is not an ordinary upasaka,he is a siddha. Only an experienced gemologist can tell the value of a Kohinoor. One can thus get an idea that despite differences in Parampara Sri. Menonji, who is himself no less in stature, has indeed shown his realization by acknowledging giants of other paramparas also. It in a way glorifies the Guru mandala of Sri Menonji's parampara & indicates how broadminded & catholic his Guru must have been. Jai Ma. Dr.V.R.Iyer. A nursery student in Ma's school. - durgangam Thursday, August 23, 2007 10:23 PM Re: IMHO Amen. , sankara menon <kochu1tz wrote: > > Dear Friends: > I have been watching with dismay a certain touchiness in our group. > I am not very learned but with my little experience working with various nationalities I feel a few words will not be out of place. > > 1.
