Guest guest
To All, Thanks a lot for giving me the link for Saundaraya lahari. Actually I am looking for Anand lahari, not the Saundarya lahari. How can I get Anand lahari. I am from North India, where This stotra is not that popular. I want to propagate that to people. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated. Thanks Deepak

Guest guest
In south, we always mean by Ananda Lahari , the first 41 verses of Soundarya Lahari of Adi Sankara. Is it possible that in Noth or East there is some other composition called Ananda Lahari or is it confused with Sivananda Lahari. I remember Ganpra even earlier too clarified this. But there seems to be some basis for the confusion. ganpra <ganpra wrote: First 41 slokas of SL is called Anandha Lahari , Deepak Gupta <dgupta_us wrote: > > To All, > Thanks a lot for giving me the link for Saundaraya lahari. Guest guest
Is he referring to this : bhavaani stotuM tvaaM prabhavati chaturbhirna vadanaiH prajaanaamiishaanas-tripuramathanaH paJNchabhirapi | na shhaDbhiH senaaniir-dashashatamukhairapyahipati- stadanyeshhaaM keshhaaM kathaya kathamasminnavasaraH || O Bhavaani, Spouse of Shiva! Brahmaa the Creator cannot perfectly describe. You with his four mouths! Nor can Lord Shiva do so even with five mouths! Lord Kaartikeya cannot possibly describe Your glories with his six mouths. Let this be as it may, but even Adi Sheshha (who bears Lord Vishnu) cannot describe You with his thousand mouths. Therefore, tell me O Bhavaani, how is there any scope for others (like me) to praise You perfectly? , venkat bhasksr <sitam_subba wrote: > > In south, we always mean by Ananda Lahari , the first 41 verses of Soundarya Lahari of Adi Sankara. Guest guest
Is it possible too that he is referring to Anand Lahari [waves of bliss] composed by Muthuswamy Dikshithar [One of the Trinity of Music]. I know there's a carnatic version on Anand Lahari. There's book on the complete work on Dikshithar and his composition, once I get hold of the book [should be by today], will update in the group accordingly. , venkat bhasksr <sitam_subba wrote: > > In south, we always mean by Ananda Lahari , the first 41 verses of Soundarya Lahari of Adi Sankara.
