Guest guest
Receive this today morning in SS private email. " Blessings, I am a fan of your great organisation and I thank you for your generosity. The more I read on your website, the more I realise that my vision about spirituality and Devi is the same than yours. I would like to know, can one become a shakta without a teacher ? Can I consider myself a shakta if I agree with all the scriptures and vision of Shakti? I'm preparing to buy the books on your suggested Amazon list and would like to really to get into the practice, is there some books that can help be to attaint a daily shaktism practice? I'm in Montreal, Canada, do you know a teacher or maybe a center nearby? I know that it is a lot of questions but you are the only ressource that I know of about shaktism and I trust your expertise. Thank you, "

One need to find a person who has walke the walk and done what has to be done. Book is only a suppliment to that. You become a shakta when shakti accepts you as such not because you accepted her.I'm preparing to buy the books on your suggested Amazon list and would like to really to get into the practice, is there some books that can help be to attaint a daily shaktism practice? Why not try to contact Aiyya at NY? Maybe Devi-Bhakta can give you address. Remember there is no instant tantra. It is a long hard haul. I know that it is a lot of questions but you are the only ressource that I know of about shaktism and I trust your expertise. Even though I am a Buddhist, that just confirms it, because Shakti is Buddha. And Buddha is Shakti. For me. But that's also because even in Buddhism of Dzogchen I am having Shakti as technique and as my mandala. For simplicity let's just say Dakini, is Shakti in feminine form as Pragjnaparamita. So there you have it. You're a Shakta if you will it, I wouldn't say it's a club to join or an aspiration to become as such. It's just as one is, or not, as case may be. Many people cannot tolerate the idea of divinity as feminine power. (And we know who they are too - they run everything) But when we are discussing Shakti we are discussing the circle, with the ability to remain ever distant in seeking circumference, but somehow that wholeness remains forever within. If one seeks the circle of wholeness within one finds oneself identical to it already. This already well understood as all mandalas do refer to our inner contents. The circles of ten mandalas of Rig Veda are discussed as refering to the ten elements of Samkya. The circle is our nature, its circumference never revealed though viewable as our very self. If Shaktism overtook all things there would be more fluidity to society. People would be able to trade places more. Say, you are tired of cooking and wish to work with wood, or tire of sitting in an office and want to teach aerobics, Shaktism teaches one about flow with centeredness, as their life, and not worshipping structures but instead freeing oneself of all limitations. And recognizing that the Goddess of Time erases all ones efforts. Better to reside 'as is' without reservation.
