Guest guest Posted September 25, 2007 Report Share Posted September 25, 2007 I was at a satsang the other day which pointed up in a beautiful way the crossing of boundaries and the re-emergence of Goddess reverence in traditions where it had been submerged. It was the night of Yom Kippur, and after the swami talked, two women came up, put on kippahs and tallit, lit candles, and talked about the meaning of the Day of Atonement and of At-one-ment, in words that included the Divine as female. They chanted the Kaddish in Hebrew and translated it into English, and topped it all off with a Hindu mantra. Wonderful...
