Guest guest
Om Sri Matre Namaha Namaste to all of you. Today, I have 2 special questions that I wanted to ask you Devi devotees. 1. How do we place the Shri Yantra? Is there any specification in it like its north, south facing? 2. The parrot which is seen on any Kamakshi picture, is it her Vahanam (transport) like the other Gods & Goddesses or it can be placed in front of Devi as Nandi in Shiv temples? Thanks Love Pari
Guest guest
The normal method is to plave the yantra with the apex o the uppermost triangle facing you. Which ever directio you face is EAST for an upasaka. The Parrot matter I am not sure. Parishant <paribus81 wrote: Om Sri Matre Namaha Namaste to all of you. Guest guest
parrot is not the vahana of Kamakshi. Kamakshi is Simmha (lion) Vahini. also find the attachment showing the Position of Sri Chakra [Moderator's note: the software automatically removes attachments.] sankara menon <kochu1tz wrote: The normal method is to plave the yantra with the apex o the uppermost triangle facing you. Guest guest
Pranam. I have heard that the parrot represents Sooka Maharishi who is chanting matra or the Vedas for Devi's pleasure. With Love Shankaree Let my every word be a prayer to Thee, Every movement of my hands a ritual gesture to Thee, Every step I take a circumambulation of Thy image, Every morsel I eat a rite of sacrifice to Thee, Every time I lay down a prostration at Thy feet; Every act of personal pleasure and all else that I do, Let it all be a form of worshiping Thee. " From Verse 27 of Shri Aadi Shankara's Saundaryalahari saravanan dhilu <dhilu_1983 Sunday, 30 September, 2007 3:53:42 AM Re: Sri Yantra, Kamakshi parrot is not the vahana of Kamakshi. Guest guest
Pranam, The presentquestion is the olacement of SRICHAKRA. there are nine trianges outofwhic five trianglewhich face donwards with Bindu in the upper Trikona and four trikonas face upwards. the five trikonas which face downwards is termed as Sakthi kona and the upper faced four trikonas are termed as Siva konas and this shows that Siva and Sakthi are one. The family persons and rishis will perform poojas to Srichakra in such awaythat the five downward Trikonas should face the Sadhaka/East and only Sanyasis will perform poojas where the Sivakonas facig at them. This is the common posture of SRICHAKRA PALCEMENTFORPOOJAS. PRANAM. saravanan dhilu <dhilu_1983 wrote: parrot is not the vahana of Kamakshi.
