Guest guest
namaste I am member of this group and posted question regarding lalitha trishati and sahasranama chanting without initiation. I was overwhelmed with the reponses i got for my query and thank each one of you for your valuable contribution. After careful consideration, i decided to continue my parayana of trishati and sahasranama as it is devotion that matters and mother will take care of rest. On hindsight i even thought if suddenly i am feeling attraction towards these stotras and mother, it is nothing but mother's call itself to make me come towards her and use these tools for sadhana. So now i do all chanting with love and left everything to mother to analyse the merits or demerits. I have another question on this-----I heard that chanting Mother's stotras in front of sri chakra is more powerful. In lieu of that, I want to know if it is okay to buy a sri chakra and keep it at home? Can anybody(mother's devotee) buy sri chakra from a store and keep it at home or should it be only bought by sri vidya upasaks? Also can males have sri chakra in home? Is is safe to have a sri chakra? somewhere i heard the sri chakra is very aggressive and powerful shakti vibrations are in it. So if someone is not serious or not initiated into sri vidya upasakam, he/she should not keep it in home? is that correct or can i just buy sri chakra with pure love and leave it to mother ? Appreciate your responses JAI MAA Amrish
Guest guest
Dear Shakti Amrish: Excellent and a right decision you have taken. But I am surprised that you asked the question about keeping Sri Chakra with you. Why does it matter if it is allowed, or safe or aggressive as long as you yearning for Mother is true and selfless? Just do what your heart calls for. Hope you had chance to read my earlier reply, in which I shared my experience. I bought the Sri Chakra Meru from a store, just at the first sight of it as I looked at it sitting in the showcase. None of these questions you are asking came to my mind, except the thought that I wanted to own it. May the Mother and Father bless and embrace you in your journey. Guest guest
namaste all! Please forgive me my question as I am new to Hinduism; but what exactly is a Sri Chakra meru? Is it a picture of all the Chakra's? Again please forgive me my ignorance. Glen Om Shakti [in the Files section of this e-group, see the file Mahameru_FINAL.pdf for a picture and accompanying description.]
Guest guest
The Meru is a three-dimensional projection of the Sri Yantra. As msbauju noted, you can find a picture and accompanying description in the Files section under Mahameru_FINAL.pdf aim mAtangyi namaH , " blueangels6168 " <blueangels6168 wrote: > > namaste all! > Please forgive me my question as I am new to Hinduism; > but what exactly is a Sri Chakra meru? > Is it a picture of all the Chakra's? > Again please forgive me my ignorance. > Glen > Om Shakti > > [in the Files section of this e-group, > see the file Mahameru_FINAL.pdf for a picture > and accompanying description.] >
Guest guest
Hi Amrish: In reply to your several queries: *** I want to know if it is okay to buy a sri chakra and keep it at home? *** It is okay. *** can males have sri chakra in home? *** Yes. *** Is is safe to have a sri chakra? somewhere i heard the sri chakra is very aggressive and powerful shakti vibrations are in it. *** It is okay to keep it in the home as an object of general respect and veneration, for example placing one on your altar alongside other images, murthis, pictures, etc. However, you should *not* attempt more specific Sri Chakra pujas without proper training and initiation as the energies are very " hot. " *** Can anybody (mother's devotee) buy sri chakra from a store and keep it at home or should it be only bought by sri vidya upasaks? *** I'd refer back to what I told you about Mantras: /message/28296 Similarly, a store-bought yantra for most deities will generally have its intrinsic good energies that will do no harm, but there is no substitute for receiving the yantra fully " charged " from one's guru. A store-bought yantra is fine, but it will not be " activated " to anything like its full potential. And once again, that is probably a good thing, because these are not merely devotional items or pretty art objects, but rather -- as a very formidable upasaka once described them to me -- " million-watt machines.
