Meaning:

Getting stationed at the thirukkaDavUr of the Lord, Who

was fiery on the one of sugarcane bow (kAma) and the death,

due to the truth of focus (on God) with the brimming zeal

out of the fond love, he did the various holy services

that came by him and reached the shade of the Feet of Lord shiva.

Notes:

1. thamakku n^Ern^tha thiruppaNi palavum ceythu

While one would have a needed service to the Lord as

the niyama, one also need to continuously look for opportunities

to serve the Lord in various ways. kalayar held the niyama of putting

kungiliyam at the sanctum of Lord at thirukkaDavUr. He was

also zealous to see the Lord standing up straight at thiruppananthAL.

He supported the missions of sambandhar and appar. He did

so many other services that he could because more than a duty,

they were for his lovely Lord!
