Invitation to Kalpvas at Sangam Prayag during magh mela

These are the reasons and importance of Prayag, Holy Ganga and Kalpvas:

" Prayag is the most ancient and particularly sacred place where the

divine rivers Ganga, Yamuna and subterraneous Saraswati converge, which

is also known as Triveni.

The river Ganges is glorified in all Vedic Scriptures as supremely pure

and auspicious. According to the Puranas, the water of the Ganges is

sacred because it emanates from the lotus feet of Lord Vishnu, the

sustainer of all creation.

At Prayag (Allahabad) holy Magh Mela (Festival), is being performed

every year, when specific planetary positions and the presence of many

saints transform the water into sacred or divine nectar, also known as

amrit.

Magh mela turns in to Ardh kumbha mela in every 6 years intervals & it

turns in to kumbh mela in every 12 years intervals. During Kumbh/Magh

mela devotees resides for one and half month in teporary tents/huts, for

taking amrit of Holy Ganga and from saints, which comes from all over

world.

It is said during magh all dieties comes on Bank of Holy Ganga, to pray

her & to bless all devotees. The living during magh is called kalpvas.

This kalpvas and daily bathing in Holy Ganga nullify all karmic

reactions of sinful activities and paves the way to heaven " .

Ganga sewak samaj is inviting all devotees to come and live as Kalpvasi

at Prayag during magh mela (14 Jan.to 15 Feb.2008), we

are ready to

arrange lodging and fooding at Mela Ground(Bank of Holy Ganga) in

temporary Huts, No. fixed charges as such for common men, but it is

donation is desired from people who are well to do.

Interested people willing to come at Prayag as Kalpvasi, may get in
