Guest guest
I always liked using the " monotheistic polytheism " label. While there is a more correct way to say it in the English language, I think this label helps reach out to more people. While on the surface, it sounds contradictory, most intelligent people will, after you explain " There is one God, man calls it by many names " (the Vedas), and how God/dess is so ultimate as to be part of everything, yet is beyond everything as the infinite and limitless Supreme Power, it starts clicking to them. Even a very Christian-religious friend of mine acknowledged the possibility that Hindus believe in God, even if she finds them slightly 'strange.' (Oh well, strange is not bad. I usually found it a good thing! :-)) Jai Ma!
