Guest guest
Namaste, I was doing some reading on monasticism and a lot of sources suggest that all monks have to be celibate. However, in a few other sources, celibacy can mean sexual intercourse with solely and only one person. Since celibacy tends to involve either being without marriage, or abstaining from sexual intercourse, the definition is a bit broad. Either way, I am curious as to if all monks have to be celibate, at least for the rest of their life. Does it depend on traditions, too? I get mixed messages from what I have read. Jai Ma! Sincerely, Christina As a note: I do not plan to live a monastic life. I was just curious if all monks practice celibacy, or at least practice it for the rest of their life.
