Guest guest
The below message was originally approved as a courtesy; however, since then four more identical messages have come in under various subject headings. It is possible, therefore, that the user's computer is infected with a virus or malware which is sending out emails for all the email addresses s/he receives mail from. Or perhaps that it is simply spam. Again, we approved the original message because -- though not exactly on topic -- it did seem to be a sincere appeal for assistance to a worthy cause. In light of the subsequent posts, however, I'd urge members to consider their response with a measure of caution. Guest guest
Namaste, I am indifferent to whether or not we should continue accepting donation requests, but I will be brutally honest here: 99.9% of the time, I just glance over the e-mail and delete it unless I am familiar with the cause. However, my attention (or lack thereof) to these e-mails is not a reason to discontinue approving donations. Just...as you pointed out already, it should be done with caution. Jai Ma! Sincerely, Christina ---- Devi Bhakta <devi_bhakta wrote: > The below message was originally approved as a courtesy; however, > since then four more identical messages have come in under various > subject headings. > > It is possible, therefore, that the user's computer is infected with a > virus or malware which is sending out emails for all the email > addresses s/he receives mail from.
