Guest guest
Hi everyone. I'm a devotee to Maa-Kali, and I perfrorm Pancopacara-Puja (Five- offering puja) to Her. I was wondering, can I perform this as a Manasa Puja? If I do this, do I need to make associations with the offerings more strongly (like saying " I offer you these flowers that represent my desires " or even " I offer you my desires in the form of these flowers " )? Also, is it okay if I perform these Pujan in english? I do that currently, sometimes saying short mantras to accompany the offerings, and I do not do Aarti because I cannot find the correct things like camphor to do it. Sorry if I'm not easy to understand, I'm in a rush :] Thanks for any help you can offer! Sam

Guest guest
My dear Sam: Yes you can do panchopachaara pooja as a manasa pooja. It will help your concentration. When I last met Kali I spoke to her in English and she seemed quite comfy and she did her Doctor's in English from London. So it must be OK to do it in English *smile*. In short, use the language that you are most comfy with. " sam.honner " <sam.honner wrote: Hi everyone. I'm a devotee to Maa-Kali, and I perfrorm Pancopacara-Puja (Five- offering puja) to Her. Guest guest
namaste: I do not know much about Manasa Devi, but here is my opinion: Intention, devotion, and a pure heart are probably as important in puja. I'm sure the goddess would be pleased by any attention directed her way. As for the question of language - the Mother *is* Vac devi (the holy word). All tongues are pleasing to her. Jai Maa! -- -S.
